Beating a story mode in 20 hours isn't that long dude. Persona 5 goes on for close to 100. That style of non open world/linear gameplay is tough to make that long. RE4 is the exception, but that game moves at a slower pace and has a lot of little things that add some time to it and make it feel any longer. How long was the last of us?

I dunno when “the game is too short, I’m not getting my money’s worth” sentiment became pervasive but you just didn’t hear it much before the PS3/360 era. Games used to be shorter, cost the same (with inflation) or often times more (thanks Nintendo), and were hard to even track down sometimes (dunno how many times local stores hadn’t yet received their shipment of a new game...or sold out cuz they got 5 copies).
We have it so good nowadays.

I’ve been getting bored with gaming recently, nothing has really gotten my attention so I’m just playing random multiplayer shit. PUBG Fortnite Battlefield 1 tie dye Six Rocket League GTA V The Sims 4
Play me on Xbox One: CHLORINE MIST

I just finished FC5. I enjoyed it, but largely echo the sentiments you guys had. Playing through Aggelos right now. Really cool retro action rpg. Think I’m gonna play Phantom Pain next. Playing Phantom Pain now, it’s fun but gets old after a few missions. Yeah I never finished it.

MGSV is both hugely flawed and one of the best games I’ve played.

We have it so good nowadays. The way I see it is you're paying for the experience, not the number of hours spent on it. OK, if you're paying $60 for a 2-hour game, that might a problem, but that would very extreme and doesn't really happen.

We’ll obviously never know but I had a theory that they’d eventually bring the MGS timeline back around and remake Metal Gear. Kiefer would voice Big Boss and David Hayter would voice Solid Snake.

Also I’m not 16 anymore, have a decent social life and work 50 hours a week. I appreciate awesome, shorter experiences.

Even though the japanese version of the game had two different actors, i still think its weird that they changed the voice. maybe after yakuza and sleeping dogs Ill try and finish MGS

Just beat The Evil Within 2.
8.5
Ending was far superior to original, which wen't all bombastic ala RE5. The dialogue was mediocre at best. But at least they tried to imbue the story with pathos and shit, however flawed the execution. Freaking sucks there won’t be another.

I've only played the first evil within a few times and it stresses me out so bad. I got Friday the 13th on sale for like 10 bucks and it's a lot of fun. I wouldn't have paid full price for it though

anybody looking forward to sekiro/shadows die twice? i'll admit i'm a little bummed about the apparent lack of character customization, but i think overall it looks super cool and i'm really glad from is trying something new again! the prosthetic arm looks like it's building on the trick weapons from bloodborne, which i'm way into. can't wait to see more

But I like the aesthetic of Dark Souls more.

sekiro, ghosts of tsushima and nioh 2 are on my most anticipated list.
I'm not even a dark souls fan, but sekiro looks dope.

Been playing a lot of Realm Royale recently; pretty dope BR with a sort of different twist Other than that I've still been on that PUBG vibe; I'm seriously pretty into all these BRs coming out haha Any other BR enthusiasts on here? I only fonk with H1Z1, I hate fortnite, and I can't just sit and play most BR games more than a couple matches. I'm really hoping the genre's popularity will inspire a comeback of old school arena style shooters like Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament since it's a step away from the class based tactical shooters that have dominated FPS forever now. Yeah BRs are definitely bringing back that old FPS style that I love haha I mean I dig Overwatch and other class based tactical shooters, but I honestly just love fragging out in FPS games like COD or PUBG.
