Anyone else watched the new Dario Argento documentary on shudder? I really dug it alot.
Top 5 Argento in order:
1. Suspiria 2. Opera 3. Tenebrae 4. Deep Red 5. Phenomena

Suspira is probably his best film. I love Phenomena, Deep Red, Inferno, and Cat of Nine Tails. Inferno feels more visual than substance some times tho. Opera is really good but I don't get much out of it.

That Goblin sound track for Suspiria is insane too! It sounds very music box and primal at the same time like something old and forgotten.

Night Swim was goofy as hell; I'd be fine if they leaned into the stupidity, but it's so serious it sucked. Waste of Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon.

Plot wise borrows heavily from Poltergeist, Amityville Horror, and I'd say visually the Ring, but instead of trying to be like those movies, deathly serious, it should've been more like Death Bed or The Mangler.

Death Bed from the 70's? I get the inkling that guy was fucking dead serious about a Demon bed that eats people. There is seemingly no camp intended or otherwise.

dunno if they're specifically asia extreme, but a kairo, noroi, and a tale of two sisters are all solid picks imo

Pulse is so fucking good! Saw Tale of Two Sisters for first time last October and loved it but was bummed like an hour in because I realized I’d already seen the US remake and that reveal was ruined .
I’ll have to check out Noroi

the first time i watched noroi was through like 4 daily motion segments on a small computer monitor at like 720p. i was unknowingly in the exact right headspace, enthralled, and my spine was tingling throughout.

ah, boo. i swear it was on pluto or tubi, but with how often shit gets cycled out, might just have to hang tight for a month before they revolve around

I wish there was a way to set alerts for when something hits Tubi. Most of the time I feel like the only time I find out is in the Leaving Soon section.

Did any of you guys just get an e-mail for a class action settlement for being a Shudder user? I got it a few days ago. It's legit. I've already researched it.

I wen't to see the Richmond Ballet do a performance of the Dracula ballet, and Jesus Christ it was so rad. On an unrelated note, tonight I’m finally checking out Cemetary Man. I’ve been digging into some Soavi lately and I think this is his last cult classic I still need to watch.
