Currently wearing a pair of N&F jeans and can confirm the pocket has pilled.

The pocket bags are not nearly as big of a problem as all the goofy video game branding N&F does all over their jeans.

It's not that I don't like pilled pocket bags because of the appearance. It just feels gross, like they never get fully clean. Who knows, might be some lingering sensory issue.
All I know is, I have a couple pairs of higher end jeans that use either chambray or some sort of herringbone material, and it's such an odd luxury that I can't really turn back now.
Also, there's lot's of mid/high rise options that are popular/available now. It just depends on your budget -- classic Levi's are consistently decent, and I think some of the mid-tier brands have options (N&F, unbranded, etc.), but you could also go Sugarcane, TCB, or some others for a next step up.

Your pockets don’t pill if you never wash your jeans.
Have a few entry level nice pairs of jeans and like N&F because the lil bit of stretch. I’m an elderly man. I can’t be wearing those stiff no stretch jeans anymore.

my default answer is always Orslow but the boa fleece is exactly this if you wanna spend $300. otherwise, probably Gramicci? they've got the stripy one that looks like Kapital and one that looks like old Patagonia as well Orslow is definitely a good call, the fit of the boa fleece is perfect. I also really like the fit of those Gramicci fleeces, just not sure how I feel about going for a cream color and Gramicci doesn’t seem to produce very many different color ways for those jackets. I have a Gramicci fleece lined dress and it’s going to be my winter go to. They have so much nice stuff. Also fuck with Beams Boy hard

I need some new shirts but I’m always so hesitant to buy stuff online because I normally don’t like the fit. I have a long torso or something because shirts are always short. I've had this issue a lot too being a 6'6 gumby guy. I've slowly just had to say fuck it and get XL or XXL and deal with box ass shirts.
For denim I've basically only bought 3Sixteen, APC, and Pure Blue Japan the past 15-20 years. Never had an issue with any of those.

Feel this 100%, also tall af Had some minor luck with bonobos fit wise but the quality is garbage Saw j crew had some tall sizing but really just don’t care that much anymore to waste money on shit that don’t fit right

Uniqlo use to be my go-to for plain white tees but they've changed their shirt material in the past year. They use to be super soft and awesome, now they're hard as hell and heavy.

Yeah just might have to do that. Pants I’ve never had a problem with though. I do find the jcrew tall stuff fits well and they also have like 50-70% off sales they just don’t always offer everything in tall.

If you can buy N&F you can buy sugarcane or tcb, they’re the same price and much higher quality. They also hold up far better in my experience and the cuts offered are better than N&F’s offerings.

Looking to get a heavy fleece jacket with a more boxy 90s styling. Have been looking at Manastatsh and Mountain Hardwear, but wondering what other brands I should be looking at besides the obvious ones like TNF, Patagonia, etc. Maybe first down? I bought a fleece of theirs off grailed just because the measurements were perfect for me. Don't know much about the brand besides that they are japanese. Their website makes them look to be inspired by old tnf & Patagonia

Something about the way they stitch the inside leg seam suuucks. 5 years ago I switched to japan blue high tapered and tanuki high rise tapered and still rock both pairs regularly. No complaints about either, still holding up well. Japan blue is great quality for the price.

Love the U collection.. they fit my boxy ass torso and they're incredibly durable.

If we’re talking price point on Japanese shit both Snow Peak and Evisu are great quality for the price. I have some Evisu jawns from 2004 that are still in great condition and outside of their pants, I really like their track jackets. Snow Peak is just durable af without sacrificing styling and comfort.
