Any beefy bois have any recommendations for pants for dudes with big thighs? I wear a ~33 waist, always have to size up and end up with a loose waist or not enough taper at the ankle. This still happens with athletic fit pants at a lot of places. left field atlas Going to have to check a pair of these out.

What’s everyone rocking for winter coats?
I got away with a North Face rain shell and champion hoodie. Was going to jump on the arcteryx bandwagon but they can’t keep things in stock. Im over carhartt, the past few things I’ve got (a Detroit jacket and vest) have been pretty mid as far as fit and construction. I have an ancient fleece/Sherpa lined jacket (from carhartt) I found in the trash that is excellent though but is faded and rough around the edges now.

Let’s talk coats: what are you rocking Oct? My current rotation for sure the Givenchy jacket getting worn all winter, but right now this is my current Oct rotation.

Fjallraven has been my new go-to for jackets/coats recently. Picked up a Parka last year and it was awesome. Followed up their version of a M65 for a fall jacket.
That said, I need to branch out from olive colored jackets and start picking up navy.

Yeah i wear a fjallraven greenland no1 in winter its nice but some design ideas on it suck. I wrote them an email about how much I disliked the buttons and zippers (the top button is bare/has no protected flap so if it is cold and you have to pull the collar up the bare ass metal is right up in your face). They responded saying they'd never thought of that lmao.
Always have to wear a neck gaiter/buff/scarf with it.
Also the front pockets are diagonal and just single button so you can't keep keys or phone in them or they might slide out lmao
Rly want one of their warmer parkas though for winter camping and when I don't feel like layering

I want to like their jackets but they just look like grandpas jackets for the sake of looking like grandpas jackets.

That's good to know about the greenland -- the shearling liner always turned me off. Like, that has to get dirty over time.
I got the Skogso Padded jacket for winter and it's pretty perfect in my apinion. At least what I need it for.

Have the hoodless version, it’s a great jacket. Also have the arcteryx therms sv parka which is the warmest jacket I’ve ever had.

Every outerwear Teryx shit is pretty fucking warm IMO the insulation is the best I found outside of crazy expensive heavydown stuffed coats.

Price point is a little different between the two. I can buy almost 3 different insulated Teryx's jackets for the price of one shiny puffer. (I personally hate the Moncler style)

Here’s a few jackets I will be hopefully wearing this fall… I thrifted this vintage Woolrich Anorak (it’s possible that it’s not real because it has some strange quarks, but I love the way it fits and looks) a couple years ago and it’s been one of my main go tos for this time of year: I thrifted these two jackets over the summer and am hoping to get some wear out of them. The denim jacket is vintage Gap and the motorcycle jacket is some random one made in Mexico (not sure how much I’ll wear this because I feel like wearing leather can be too much of a LOOK sometimes so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to pull it off):

Would love a leather jacket like that, honestly. Anybody know a good brand? I'm not a thrifter.
