I keep thinking about how one joke (or whatever) has just fucked this whole thing up for so many people. Like I have mates who were meant to be on that Irish tour, like it absolutely fucking sucks. The only take away I have about 'cancel culture' is how fuckin uneven it is. Like if everyone was held to the same o-count, then fine, but it's 100% not and we all know it. It must feel good when an artist you don't like gets taken down, though, so I'm sure some dork somewhere is throwing themselves a little party 10000% not meaning this as a good thing but idk how to put it: it was and will always be like that. especially in a punk/hc/whatever scene. those morally perfect clowns will always be like that edit: what i was saying was is that they hated the band initially and just needed a reason to cancel them for good and they just found one. |
