Is it weird for a hardcore band to have a social media presence and merch before recording and playing shows or am I old? who would this be seen it at least 3 times now so I guess the soft launch first gig or demo on bandcamp is antiquated |

More bands with no social media presence, no bandcamp, no merch store, hell, no MEMBERS. I wanna discover a band by accidentally finding a cassette tape in the woods. I wanna show up to a completely different show and have the band spontaneously appear at the end of another band's set and play one song and have them sell spray painted shirts on Hanes Heavyweight Blanks in the alley behind the venue. Bring the magic back to hardcore.
