Also as someone who listens to every episode and frequents r/hardcore to make myself mad, that subreddit just parrots Colin's apinions. Idk what it is about that guy that makes everyone want to emulate him, but its been happening since Twitching Tongues started. I credit the Young brothers with making Bolt Thrower and Type O Negative shirts popular among the modern HC scene.

The podcast is fine but isn't as appealing as they're having more episodes sans guests therefore eliminating the best part of the episodes IMO—fast food discussion.
The unfortunate cliquey nature of hardcore severely alters the discourse, especially on the "major" HC podcasts, which is unfortunate but makes sense, I suppose.

I figured it was the logical conclusion to all the River Runs Red covers in the 00’s. Once you get into LOA, Type O Negative is just a hop skip and jump away.

Seeing LOA next month and am stoked. I love ugly, so it’s cool to see they’re doing a few tracks from that in the encore after playing all of RRR.

A lot of the discourse surrounds fests that feature the same bands. The other big HC pod at least highlights other bands but sheesh, I don't need to hear about Pain of Truth and Gridiron anymore. And I like them!

hardlore had me with those first few episodes because i like hearing bands tell stories from tour (what the podcast was supposed to be about) but it quickly devolved into colin and bo jerking off one another the entire time. some of the episodes are borderline unlistenable, like the one with that fat ass hipster chef.

One time I saw gas rag and when they took the stage they said “we’re life of agony” because they heard them for the first time on the drive to the show and thought they were a joke band

I heard that they described the Emerson Theater as the worst venue ever, which it is. Sound is fucking horrid because the acoustics are trash, absolutely disgusting floor, way too big for most shows, stage is 10 feet fucking high. Every time it’s supposedly done for, someone takes over. Stuck in a weird 2007 Warped Tour timewarp last I checked.

That said, I do enjoy the show but its best when its bands telling road stories. Dan from King Nine's episode was great. Jasta's was good. Jay Weinberg was so goddamn boring I turned it off. I skip the wrestler eps because that shit doesn't interest me.
