i'm that guy. that's not power violence. sounds like any mosh-adjacent HC band that has fast parts (standard d-beat/hardcore beat) i.e. most modern HC. the singer sounds like a sloppy black metal singer, which is different for this style. i could see a lot of Board being into this. *i didn't watch the whole thing too many blast beats for me to lump this in with most modern hc bands, or at least whats popular. They definitely do have more nyhc grooves and mosh parts than the average pv band tho. |

The little snippets reminded me of 2010-2014 dark hardcore/pv/fast-slow shit that was all the rage. |

guitarist bi-amping and making up for lack of bassist, a la Iron Lung which is why I mentioned them. it's a rough start because they don't seem to have the pedal shit figured out yet but it fills out and doesn't sound bad. idk, like I said, I don't know how they do it in the nsbm scene or w/e, but in hc we should celebrate young kids trying to do something different, and corny politics have been ubiquitous in punk since the '70s lol

I don’t think we’re supposed to use women fronted as a descriptor anymore. Don’t you remember all the “female fronted isn’t a genre” lectures people were giving a few years ago? Gel and Gouge Away are cool though. Also listen to Initiate. And some boarder put out the Artificial Joy record which I am digging. Someone recently asked me why I didn't describe Artificial Joy as "femme fronted", I just said that I thought it would make me come off self-congratulatory and I just simply like the band cause it rips and not because anything involving identity factors. Plus I'm homies with a couple of the members. |

They are doing some shows out here with Despise You in April, can't wait. Nice to have good PV shows in LA again since the person who usually booked all the PV shows out here got busted for hitting on minors.

Yea that Narc video was ok. Im sure id love it live but i dunno if id go out of my way to listen to a recording. Wasnt really "watching" the video so i didn notice til someone in here mentioned no bass and i guess thats impressive.
