BLT with local cherry wood smoked bacon on whole clove Yukon potato sourdough. I like to add avocado and red onion to my BLTs and some Duke’s of course. The real star of the show was the ripe slicer tomatoes still warm from my garden 🍅

A real fiasco today. Decided to get a grocery store sandwich for lunch. Instead of the usual sub with mortadella/salami/capicola/provolone/ajvar/oil/herbs I got a focaccia that was labelled as hot salami but was really roast beef/cucumber/artichoke/mozzarella. Very poor choice. There was no lube on the fucking thing at all! (Besides artichoke/cucumber slime I guess) And I was reminded why I never get focaccia bread. Such a disappointing lunch. Really paid the price for stepping out of my comfort zone.

Made a banger yesterday - roast beef warmed up with Amish Swiss melted on top. Red onion slices and Coleman’s mustard on pumpernickel. Hot pickled okra on the side.

It was “Spicy serrano-cilantro spread, herb turkey, feta, cucumber-tomato-red onion salad,” not my typical sandwich but I very much enjoyed and would eat again

Bahn Mi’s, Cubans, and Reuben’s make the world go round.
When heirloom tomatoes are in season, I just love a good tomato Sammy on thick ass, toasted, white bread, some Mayo, herbs (basil, dill, tarragon) salt and pep, sunflower seeds, and a squeeze of lemon. That refreshing boy. Same applies with just making it a BLT.

I'm gonna miss having access to heirloom tomatoes for the next 6 months. One of the worst parts of winter are the white, flavorless tomatoes.

Saw someone squish leftover stuffing into a waffle maker to make crispy stuffing waffles then they added turkey and fixins to make it a waffle sandwich. It looked… interesting

I bought 2 jars of this shit when I was in Chicago last summer and it is goddamn incredible. I make a prosciutto/mozz/tomato/arugula/balsamic/etc sandwich with it at least once a week. the two things I always prioritize when I go back to the US are Mexican food and Big American Sandwiches®️
