Why is he obsessed with the notion of his punk credibility? No one hates on him for that, hes obviously been a part of his scene for decades. Hes hated on because he is a top tier 50 year old cornball who documents his life like a teenage girl, is a personification of all of the most annoying aspects of social media, made some of the worst hardcore of all time, and hypocrtically claims to be some kind of fuckin role model while he rubs elbows with every known scumbag and degenerate in hardcore

So I tried to muscle through some of Toby's appearance on Turned Out a Punk, and I'm still baffled as to why he's considered an interesting guest/host. I've never listened to this show so I have no baseline here, but it was painfully boring. His backstory is the same as most everyone who got into punk as a teenager. Like growing up in the suburbs with a single parent (he mentions this repeatedly), skateboarding, and listening to the sex pistols isn't exactly unique or compelling subject matter.
Big reveal was that apparently Toby single handedly saved Chris Gethard's life by boosting his critically low PMA levels. At this point my second hand embarrassment wen't into overdrive and sadly couldn't finish the episode.
