I don't deny being into nu-metal when I was 12, but when I found punk/hardcore/death/black metal a few years later I realized nu-metal actually sucked and left it behind.

Candy record to me sounds just like a moshcore record with some industrial elements thrown in for sizzle.

I'll peep this one if people hype it enough. I thought the previous stuff they did was good moshcore, but the added industrial/elements sounded like they were sprinkled in rather than actually feeling like an actual part of the song. I love the interludes and shit that Poison Ruin does, because it's actually integrated into the whole thing.

When I was 9 the guy next door dropped his iPod outside and I took it and found 36 CrazyFists and made a Playlist on the ipod of the song Bloodwork 50+ times and would listen to it playing Xbox.
The numetal talk made me remember that.

I could do without the record scratches but I feel like they take more influence from Atari Teenage Riot and stuff like that.
Anyway the new EP is cool but I donβt like it quite as much as Itβs Inside You. Good band though.

The only nu metal band the new candy comes close to reminding me of is that one slipknot album. And itβs also the only numetal album I can stomach. I think theyβre only similar because of the random turntables mixed in Itβs also been around 25 years since I listened to it so I could be way off.
My point is numetal is garbage but the new candy is dope
