New Haren is sick, catchy UK 82 style oi punk ffo the no future/riot city stuff, savageheads, bog people etc. I always love that machine gun riffs style.
This demo by Chingue is pretty cool, it just popped up automatically on youtube after I was listening to the G-Men demo from last year. Some parts kinda remind me of 90s Poison Idea stuff, but they kinda go all over the place, second song almost has a deathrock vibe but with metal riffing too. Worth checking out. For rockers.
Here's that G-Men demo too, I don't think anyone had posted it. Sounds like a mix of early boston and nyhc (urban waste/armed citizens style).
Also this came out at the end of December but I don't think anyone mentioned the new Minus stuff. Just a cassingle, but some cool songs. Looking forward to hopefully hearing some more from them this year.

I like this band, they're sick. Had a chance to see em kinda recently but couldn't make it, hope to see em soon though. It kinda trips me out how much they sound like the 00s era 80s hc style bands. Maybe it's just cause the vocals remind me of that band Jump Off a Building. It's a good thing though, I really like that band and a lot of the bands that were doing similar stuff around that time. |
