I have to admit -- I was semi joking with my initial NYC SHOOTOUT reaction. But after fully listening to the album, it's going to be on repeat all summer. It's so fucking good.
Not to get all rock journo, but I love it when a) it feels like a band stumbles upon greatness by accident, and b) I can't tell if they're doing it in earnest.
So many genres added in a way that shouldn't be enjoyable, but it works. One song has a part that sounds oi influenced, another has bluesy solos, and they even had some ska on there... wtf.
I'm not a lyric guy (prefer to mosh), but I1 could see learning every word.
It's like if Sunami, Crown of Thornz, and Gridiron had a mutant baby.
Also, they shoutout the town next to me on THA SERVICE, which might be the most pro-woman song I've heard in hardcore for quite some time? Ok, no more dick-riding.
