Anyone watching the Dump Matsumoto netflix show? It's a little earnest, but i really like it so far. I'm only like 3 episodes in and they really nailed a lot of little details on the costumes, they used the real entrance music (which is super important IMO) and i havent noticed anything really made up or fabricated aside from a made up wrestler in one of the tag matches because one of the mexican girls didnt sign her likeness to the show brother they tried to call the jackie sato vs maki match a SHOOT lol they have definitely taken some serious liberties with the reality. yes AJW had shoot matches but they were mostly the young girls in the opening matches. they sure as shit were not having the blow off of the beauty pair tag team with the loser retiring determined via shoot. ive only watched the first 2 eps and its entertaining and that made up stuff doesnt ruin the show for me or anything, i just find it kind of bizarre to stretch the truth like that. like does that make the narrative better? i dont think it matters at all to say that AJW had a "you gotta retire at 26" policy in those days because they wanted all the women to be idols for juvenile girls and the next generation doesn't really wanna rock with the same idol their older sister has, they want their own |

the queen of villains was great. gotta just sigh and laugh at how they treat kayfabe within the confines of the show lol, but as a device for drama it works. i've never been a real big joshi head or anything so i've spent the last day watching the real life matches from the show and those crowds are fucking insane bro

That doc was sadly mid. Iβm so shocked Vince was upset by it, because it is really kind to him and barely touches on the major controversy and otherwise paints him in in a fairly favorable light and humanizes him more than he deserves.
Netflix must have really wanted them to not go too hard on him, because as a documentarian, having some news like that break during the making of a documentary like this should have immediately altered their plans and lead them to rework this whole thing, sort of like that documentary about Anthony Wernerβs attempted comeback that was being filmed right as a new accusation about him dropped.

Gonna echo the sentiment that Nigel and Bryan needed a little more time. Some of those strikes Nigel was doing were kinda flailing his arms and looked bad, not sure if that was rust or if they were purposely trying to look that way. Still glad they managed to do it at all.

yeah it wasnt bad or anything but it was the shortest match they've ever had with each other and it was Nigel's first singles match in like 13 years. Bring Nigel back as an actual member of the roster and run this back in 2025 and give it 30 minutes and i guarantee it bangs way harder.

I wen't in trynna keep my expectations in check and I think that was for the best.i still loved it, even just seeing those two in the ring again made me so happy but their previous matches are so good it's a real high bar. The corner headstand spot was so niceand Danielson doing the rebound and eating a lariat were both sick
Was real into the MVP debut, I am hoping this leads to him bringing Lashley in for a Swerve feud. I fucking love Lashley and so badly want him to reunite with Lio Rush and join the Top Flight crew. Btw love that Leila Grey is back, she's ao fine.

That is a bummer for Fenix and I feel for him. Hope he's still allowed to do Indies and Mexico even if they don't feature him on tv.
Watched Halloween Havoc 96 yesterday and Rey vs Malenko is an absolute blast. Also really enjoyed Jarrett vs Giant a lot more than I expected to, just a real fun big man little man match albeit with a very meh ending. Hogan looked fucking awful with the short blonde spiked up hair.
