I guess effy got Tony Khan pretty pissed off over some interview cuz they just pulled Ricky starks from three GCW matches? I guess AEW and GCW arenβt playing nice?

Effy and Brett were complaining that AEW booked the Hammerstein Ballroom (a full month before GCW returns there) and Effy said some lame shit about Tonyβs dad blah blah blah, forgetting to mention that 1. their last show there fucking sucked 2. GCW books a bunch of shit Mania weekend in venues which prevents other smaller orgs from getting those spots and 3. How Tony not only let his biggest stars feature on GCW programs but also kept GCW wrestlers (and other independent wrestlers) working during the pandemic.
Tony is a wack job but Effy sounds like a bitter bitch. And look, you just cost another big name from appearing on one of your events.
Or we worked ourselves into a shoot brothers.

It's just funny that AEW announced Okada/DG yesterday and still ended the day net negative after all the Starks stuff. TK/AEW can't catch a break. But honestly? That PPV ending was so goofy and bad with the whole Mox stuff. If AEW were doing good stuff right now, the Starks thing wouldn't even be notable.

It's still not notable because Ricky Starks is a nobody and only WWE fans care about this idiot getting sidelined for being Cody's butler Starks did a lot of good stuff in AEW. Not sure why we're acting like he didn't. Go back and watch him hit the spear on MJF when MJF's shoes fly off. Insane pop. TK stops booking him and now we get stuff like Bobby Lashley, Matt Taven, etc. AEW kinda just sucks now. "WWE fan" is also a weird diss when their shows are legit better than AEW now. I'm not a WWE fan, I just like stuff that doesn't suck and AEW right now sucks. Gotta call a spade a spade. |

Like I wanna be excited for Okada/DG. But it's a taped match. Crowd will be dead bc it'll be 3 hours into the taping already. They're still taping stuff in 2024 when indie companies don't even do that.

Yes they did nothing for Ricky Starks the guy who they spent 100k on pyro for (which got a better reception than he did) and also the guy who kept turning a bunch of stuff down.
Heβll be in NXT next year and escorting Cody with his dog during his Wrestlemania entrance, donβt worry.
