remain sedate named no less than 25 hardcore bands i have never heard of in my life. massive poseur moment yooooo BUT BUT BUT, i forgot! bro has never heard merauder - master killer?! cmon So I was hanging out with my friend on Sunday, and I was excited to bring up that I had learned the actual history and source of our mutual friend's "Life is Pain" tattoo (Merauder). This is when I was reminded that a) it was a homemade BIC pen tattoo, and b) it was based on the buddist "Life is suffering" concept, but that our guy couldn't take the (life is) pain, so had to make a mid-game adjustment. But yeah, I've since addressed my unforgiveable ommision, and will report back. It takes us Gen X'rs a few listens. Our aged ears aren't built for cell phone speaker phone analysis. Decades of landline, you know. |

In line for that coaster you and I ended up not going on that we were in line for like an hour and a half was an absolute star for this, because we made the 2 am pilgrimage to the hellacious HangTime. Sleep-deprived, they launched us at 2:45 am. I hung on for dear life, but Talentless Elvis Costello didn't give a fuck and ran with it hands-free. Bravo. HangTime info: HangTime is the first dive coaster in California. HangTime towers 150 feet over the Boardwalk area showcasing a beyond vertical drop that is the steepest in California, gravity-defying inversions, and mid-air suspensions. |

That was so fun. I just wish we were in the old mixtape days because I'd be cranking them out based on all of our discussions. That reminds me, I still owe chaospouch some tapes for his truck now that I digitized everything. But yeah, everyone was cool and interesting and inspirational for one reason or another. I'd love to have a chance to see BIL in 3D again, for sure. Also want to point out that SO told me "no fuckin' way you have 5000, never mind 10000 records", lol. Dodger Stadium+Chili's+KSF+Courtyard. Mentally BIL for sure. |
