I regret to inform y'all that I am once again on a massive Daniel Romano kick. Saw him opening up for Blues Pills a good week back, planning on seeing a headline show in Maastricht in a week or two. It's never gonna happen and if it does it'll be in a wildly different form but I would pay him a good deal of money to play songs off of If I've Only Time Askin' again.

Sturgill was amazing. Very southern rock ish. Lots of jam sessioning.
Great mix of songs for 3 hours.

New Tod is great from start to finish Agreed, I really like it... definitely a bigger sound than his previous output. I'm sure he'll ride some of the country wave happening right now... stoked to see him on 11/2.

Felt like everyone in the crowd was singing every word to every song, it was crazy.

This is damn near perfect I think Deslondes are some of the best doing it right now, their output is pretty flawless and great live too.

not exactly outlaw, but First Nations people here have quite a few country bands.
The places he talks about at the start is where I am from. He says he is Koori, I have some Koori background but its from much further away than the Murray and Yorta Yorta people.
This one is about what we call the stolen generation.
I used to see Lionel Rose around town when I was a teenager living in the country. He was a full time alcoholic by then and had come back where the rose family were which was by a creek where their mob had lived for hundreds of years. Despite being wasted all the time he could still throw a world champion punch and I saw him lay out some tough guys in their 20’s like it was nothing.
Warumpi Band weren’t strictly country but they had a lot of country influence. They did a few reggae and straight rock and roll songs but always in Koori language. This footage is my fav of them.

Listened to all of these on the way to work and they’re all cool as hell

Got tickets for Isbell’s solo tour, coming to one of my favorite venues in NH but tickets were $103/each for our section and all the way up to $300+.
