Probably my favorite horror movie of the 80s, I dearly hope it makes it to the next round. Watched it again last night and it’s my definition of cozy horror, incredible atmosphere.

Damn... guess I have my finger on the pulse of horror-heads lol
I just love bullshitting about the genre and this is the perfect opportunity to indulge. The tournament is so much fun and engaging, making the predictions invested me even deeper.
I’m surprised a few of these were so close, mainly Videodrome vs HIII. I know Season of the Witch has been reclaimed by horror fans for a while now and this certainly proves it. Seems like that movie grows in popularity every year… deservedly so.
On the other hand, I wasn’t really expecting all of these landslides. The most surprising for me personally are:
The Evil Dead 83.3%
Fright Night 16.7%
A Nightmare on Elm Street 84.6%
Near Dark 15.4%
And the one that really hurts…
Hellraiser 75.8%
The Fog 24.2% (my choice for #1)
I had a felling all these movies would win, but not like this. I knew The Shining, The Thing and The Fly would mop the floor with their first round competition.
The most surprising for me overall is Friday the 13th beating Scanners, glad it happened, but wouldn’t have bet on it.
