Anybody watching tonight? No way I was paying 75 for this so I might try and catch a stream.
So happy we're getting Canelo Jacobs on 5/4 though

reflections on Thurman-Lopez:
It's a good thing Thurman didn't dive right back into the deep end, because Lopez had him doing the Texas Two Step in round 7. I've very rarely seen a fighter totally out on his feet for nearly an entire minute. Maybe it was just bravado, but Dan Birmingham really needs to teach Keith how to hold on when he's in trouble, which he rarely is, and I suppose that's the problem. I scored that round 10-8 for Lopez with no KD, something I virtually never do. I had it 117-109 for Keith, nearly a gentleman's sweep, but this is one of those situations where the score doesn't tell the whole story. It was a real nail-biter in a lot of moments.
I hope Keith takes the lessons here to heart, and he's a smart guy so I think that's likely. If he can adjust his defense I think a fight with Pacquiao could be damn good. I don't think this version of Thurman stands much of a chance against Spence or Crawford, but he often has won widely in fights where he looked vulnerable in spots, so I wouldn't call his fate sealed in either of those.

The entire ESPN broadcast seemed desighned to humiliate Kovalev and usher him out the door as quietly as possible.
Unfortunately for them, Alvarez just couldn't keep that left glued to his head as he should have. Kov snaked so many right hand leads in there it made him gun shy from start to finish.
In light of recent events, I personally was hoping for another beatdown from Alvarez, but it looks like we'll have Kov around for a little while yet. Bigger, badder, drunker. I think he showed enough tonight to justifiably say the first fight's KO was flukey. I like him against Bivol and Gvozdyk, who are still green and would probably end up looking a bit like Alvarez tonight. Beterbiev is a more enticing proposition.

I don't put a ton a stock in a win over a blown-up jr featherweight (and a late replacement), but Gervonta Davis has huge power at 130 and I have 0 doubt he will carry it to lightweight.
I'd love to see him vs Luke Campbell or Ray Beltran

I feel like Spence is gonna take it but I really want Garcia to come through with the upset. Plus Iβm kinda bias with a Mexican background.

I don't disagree, although I like both guys about the same.
I have an extremely conventional view of this matchup. Garcia has everything going for him apart from physical characteristics; he's disciplined, smart, skilled, has a corner that's among the best in the business.
However, Spence's physical advantages are impossible to look past. Garcia is not the most athletic guy in the world even at 140, and has low punch output at the best of times. He has decent head movement, but does not have blinding agility by any means. All Spence needs to do is figure that out, line him up, and lay him down.
