Hope Con were definitely not. They were seen as older and this distinction was almost exclusively used on newer bands. Blacklisted has a pass too.
It really was just a βvibeβ on Board that gained sentience. Hard to explain to those who werenβt there.

Hope Con definitely did the "elevated" hardcore thing but amazingcore was usually less heavy and had long winded melodic breaks with spoken word sections and such.
