HOLY SHIT Dark Matter just got wild
edit: This might be the single best episode of television in a hot minute simply because the setup payoff was so rewarding, truly nutso writing here. I have no idea what to expect for the finale.

I have no idea what to expect for the finale. Oh shit, fr? I haven't gotten to it yet, but was getting frustrated with the past two/three eps so this is nice to hear. Presumed Innocent is dope so far, too. Jake still rocking the Road House bod with the classic Gyllenhaal sunken eyes really sells the American Psycho, "he totally could have done it" vibes. Dude has been on such an odd tear of quality work that goes hard, but tends to get recognized yet still overlooked somehow. Idk, hard to explain.

My wife is loving Presumed Innocent, but I bowed out of it because I saw the movie and I was getting Fatal Attraction vibes (IE why is this a show?)

I saw the movie, but it’s been like 30 years so have no memory of what happens in the story. Show is real good so far.

Started the Brat Pack documentary, and while I need to finish it, that shit is very awkward in the first 30ish minutes. Andrew McCarthy comes off very weird and cringy.

VPN (Mullvad is cheaper than streaming and top quality) + free version of Plex + Pirate Bay / 1337x.to. Haven’t paid for streaming in years.

He definitely came off as like “a fan” of his own friends and they were nice enough to do it. But the montages of other 80s juvenile movies was a good one on em because I wanna go back and watch a bunch. Gonna need to find a compiled list

Whoa. Yep. High. The Boys has been wild this season. Just realized Firecracker is one of the head maniacs in The Following (underrated)

AM, and this doc, seem to embody the whole “men will do anything except go to therapy” motif. He basically just trauma dumped on his former cast mates and it was uncomfortable to watch because it didn’t really seem like any of them shared his experience. The bit with Emilio was ehhh… But, yeah, agree on the mentions of other films that are worth going back to watch.

Yeah going from Emilio really looking like “ahhhh I really don’t feel like doing this” and even mentioning turning down any publicity shit to ally being all “awwww. Okay buddy. I’ll help” was a bit sad. But otherwise, yeah, being a baby when these coming out, hearing brat pack after, and finding out it was a disparaging thing was a bit wild.

First episode of The Bear was outstanding. 5 minutes in I was like “…hmm, alright” then next thing I know I’m not sure I had even moved for 20 minutes. Totally engrossed The way a narrative thread started to form, leading to that fennel/blood orange/Sydney moment. And the way Ayo played it with just her face. Unreal.
