i left the gym last night and there was a street crew freshly paving new asphalt across the entire stretch of road that i had to cross to get home. i asked a bunch of worker guys if it was still hot, they said yeah but id be alright to cross. i said "are you sure im not gonna plant a big fuckin footprint right in the tar?" they said nah go ahead. i walked across the street, my feet sunk into it, i got to the other side and looked at my shoe and sure enough the asphalt was still hot enough to melt my crocs. so now i have to buy new crocs. thats what i get for listening to someone dumber than me.

the nice restaurant was packed last night so we did not get in (did snag a reservation for next month tho) so we ended up going to a cocktail bar (on the list) and another spot for burgers
