I kinda like the whole story of how em created the slim shady shit out of genuine anger and frustration that no matter how good he was at the whole "white boy rapping like a black guy" thing, he was looked over and hella dismissed. Cause like, damn, infinite is crazy good. I would have snapped too.

DJ screwโs chopped and screwed of forgot about dre is incredible by the way. i feel like a lot of screwโs material just before he passed was excellent but for some reason doesnโt get as much love as the 90s shit.

Woke up to go pee, so let's talk about this:
What are y'all's favorite bars? Which ones hit harder biting mobb deep at falsetto

Ok fine itโs mid as hell but I guess I just hate Eminem because Iโd take mediocre boom bap over โWe Made Youโ any day.

As a cape for backpack rap, boom bap and those east coast/ny jazz beats are my youth and over everything. That just ain't it

Artists mime their influences before finding themselves. I listened to the whole thing the other day and if anything, it's a solid no-skips affair. It's just a solid chunk of a vibe. It was the dudes first album and it sounds like it. Far from bad, dude.

If I heard this for the first time as a grown ass man, Iโd certainly clown on it, but 12 year old me couldnโt get enough of this shit, so I have a nostalgic soft spot for it

Not sure about his "frustration over being a white boy" or whatever, but he's openly acknowledged that was largely influenced by Redman (the good/evil dichotomy, at least).

More people should. He definitely became a bit one note after a while, but those first few albums, El Nino, and Blackout are classics. Dare Iz a Darkside definitely deserves more love.

i love future, heโs one of my all time favorite rappers, but i canโt be the only one that thinks his albums havenโt had any serious replay value since, like, the wizrd? there are obviously still some great tracks scattered throughout his albums since then but itโs just lacking that street flavor i loved circa 2011-2016. his sound is just a little too sanitized nowโฆ

Idk, just doesnโt hit the same like when he was still doing drugs. The last Future solo project I truly bumped a lot was Beast Mode 2 cuz zaytoven wen't in on production, but everything else he does just bores me.
