i go to the movies by myself + I choose seats way up in the very back corner where no one bothers to typically sit just so I can avoid annoying children or movie talkers.

It's weird that there has always been this stigma about going to the movies alone. It's not really a group activity when you're sitting in the dark in silence for 2 hours

i go to the movies alone. its just like, what i do. i dont consider it a social anxiety behavior.
however, what I do consider is...
-ever since I was young I hated going into someone's parents house. Friend's parents houses. Would not do it. Parents of friends overall in general when i was younger. If they came into the room i would pretend to be asleep or run and hide in the bathroom.
-during holidays I literally writhe in fear while getting a plate of food, then when i get it, trying to figure out where to sit and who to sit by. Theres always like just 5 or 6 small tables instead of one big table, then it wouldnt be as big of a problem. but like, theres always just one seat open with people i dont really know. one year i ate in a bathroom until everyone was finished and then wen't and watched football.

Going to the movies alone is tight. I usually go to early morning weekend shows because tickets are cheaper and there's never a crowd.

I'm not really antisocial but most people get on my nerves. This last year I've gotten really withdrawn, like I just don't want to deal with people or the shit that comes with them. I've just gotten to the point where I know I'm self absorbed, I have a pretty good idea of what I like doing in my free time (mostly beer, reading and cooking), doing shit I don't like to do just puts me in a pissy mood so I'm not going to do it and I don't feel particularly inclined to explain myself.

also i'm a very self centered diva bitch kinda person. this is why i don't think i'll ever have a successful relationship, children, pets, etc. i don't like worrying about others.

If I make plans to do something, 90% percent of the time I will try to find a way out of them. Even if it’s something I want to do, the day of I will most likely back out. My friends have caught onto it, so they are super persistent and punctual about all plans anymore.
I don’t mind small talk. Most of the time I will bs my way through it just to avoid any awkward questions or pauses. I have a heavy brow that gives off the effect of me being angry all the time, so a lot of people just assume I’m always pissed and don’t approach

I never follow through on plans and feel guilty about it every time, even if it was something I was doing by myself.

made the mistake of making plans to meet up with some people I haven't seen in years and I know I'll be bailing out when it comes around.

Lately, I just say maybe a lot to get someone off my back and so that I don't actually agree to something, only to then back out.
But apart from this fine fellow, everyone else in this thread just seems good ol' asocial.

To be fair the complimenter is usually a dude wearing a Monster Energy hat and acquiring dip to pack a lip. Avoiding any type of conversation is clearly the way to go.

I don’t even remember the last time I wen't to the movies with a friend tbh. I planned on going last week with a friend to see Hereditary, but I got drunk at bingo instead.

Hitting up the early showing of movies solo is the way to go- especially after pulling a wake and bake.

I just always have headphones in, and avoid eye contact. Being heavily tattooed and bald keeps pretty much everyone away.

Antisocial behaviors are the reason I rarely go to shows alone.
