He said yesterday that if it was the new President's decision, he would leave, and would not accept nor ask for indemnification.
He has love for Porto, but he needs to leave. Yesterday it was his 25th time getting a red card and expelled from the bench as a coach.
But honestly, he has done a great job considering the lower investment in great players when compared 8 years ago. Porto is not in a good place financially. Let's see how Villas-Boas can turn this.

also Mourinho in Turkey is going to be GREAT I think he's going to thrive there tbh. He's head and shoulders the greatest manager the club has ever had without managing a single minute. The club is already pretty good. They finished second this year despite losing only 1 league match. Conference League quarterfinalists. They have a great academy. They make somewhat savvy signings. He's got some good leaders in the changing room (Edin Dzeko and Bonucci). There's some good pieces if he can bring out the best in them (Caglar, Cengiz Under, Mert Muldur, Ferdi Kadıoğlu if he can keep him, İrfan Kahveci, Fred). So we'll see. They're going to be better than people realize. |
