Arsenal Orlando and Arsenal Chelsea in the same week last year. Was guessing they weren’t going to be coming back to town very often.

I don’t really remember who we played, but I saw Liverpool on their first US preseason tour l think when Rodgers was managing and then I also saw them like 5 years ago.

How many people here have been to a friendly in the US involving an EPL team? Bonus points if it was two european-based teams playing. Saw Man City vs Chelsea at Busch Stadium in 13. City actually had most of their main lineup... was a sick game with a crazy comeback in the 2nd half by City. |

First friendly was Cardiff vs Udinese at Ninian Park. Don't remember the match, but I do remember being introduced to pies.

I think the only EPL friendly I've been to was the City-Sporting match here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Barclays_New_York_Challenge. It blows my mind Wikipedia is wasting bandwidth or whatever on this. The only fun US friendly I've been to was Spain-Ireland at Yankee Stadium. Reigning world and European champions vs. Ireland on a baseball field in front of the dregs of the Queens/Woodlawn/Yonkers Irish diaspora. An amazing moment for the game in this country. |
