i had great success on tinder from about 2016 to the beginning of the pandemic. then i get back on in 2021 and it was just a disaster. i'd get matches that wen't absolutely nowhere.

So I made an o-count and actually laughed out loud at first and then kind of became horrified when I realized this was a real thing and 13 year olds can actually freely talk to 17 year olds on here. I scrolled through it for like 5 minutes to take in the absurdity of why anyone isn't talking about this and then just had to delete the app from my phone because of how overall gross it was. They never explicitly advertised it, for probably obvious reasons (I don't remember seeing any obvious .pdf files but I'm sure there were plenty) and dropped it in like 2016 which by then I was already grown and is when I think Tinder really started to take off with average joes and become a cultural moment. This is like one of those things that have been scrubbed from the collective memory and I feel like I'm the few people that actually was there to experience it.
