Bigger issue for the Jets is gooooood fucking luck convincing Breece, Sauce and Garrett Wilson to re-sign into a rebuild after their rookie deals are up. They're all in their 3rd year. Sauce, Wilson, and Jermaine Johnson have next year, plus the fifth year options. It's a front office rebuild, but there's plenty of talent on the team with the major exception of QB.
It's impossible to speculate on anything with the Jets right now because they don't have a coach or a GM.

I will say that even as a Jets fan it would be hilarious if they bottomed out next year and Arch Manning repeated Peyton's decision to stay in school for one more year instead of entering a draft where the Jets have the #1 pick.

It honestly kind of boggles my mind how bad Joe Schoen seems to suck as a GM. He was handed the fucking blueprint for team-building by Brandon Beane and has done… none of that.
I do think Daboll could be a real solid coach but thanks to that abysmal fucking roster construction we may never know.

Honestly, the whole "QB whisperer" archetype for HCs needs to be relegated to the trash heap. I can't even really think of many still-going head coaches who were touted as QB developers other than Pederson and that is, uh, not looking so great these days. |

Andy Reid, Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay, Matt Lafleur, Sean Payton, both Harbaugh's and Kevin O'Connell have all made the playoffs with multiple QB's. If they're not directly responsible then they've shown the ability to put the right people in place.

The Browns have three wins and two of them are over teams that could be in the Super Bowl.
I get the divisional matchups are different, short week, snow game, yadda yadda. But that’s still absolutely fucking ridiculous and things like it aren’t happening in other divisions. The Cowboys aren’t knocking off the Eagles or Commanders. The Raiders aren’t upsetting the Chiefs or Chargers.
I don’t get it.
