This series is so up and down. After last week's I said if the 4th wasn't a good episode I was done. This felt like the most star wars episode yet. The only thing I didn't like was the cyborg bullshit at the beginning

That's good to hear. Won't be able to watch until I get home tonight. It's directed by a guy who has a really weird filmography, but he did a lot of Agents of Shield stuff, so he was already on the Disney payroll.

Iâm a huge fan of the Clone Wars in terms of what the show did for the lore. I also like Bad Batch but I couldnât get into Rebels although I dig the lore with the inquisitors and Jedi temple guards.
The only shitty thing about ROTS are the Padme and Anakin scenes. Ewan McGregor is an excellent Obi Wan and ROTS proves it.

The last season is heavy as fuck. Ewan and Ian did all of the heavy lifting in the prequel series. Nothing but high hopes for the Obi-Wan show based on what I've heard.

Yo i donât wanna be blasphemous because I fucking love Alec Guinness, but Ewan McGregor is my favorite Obi Wan and Iâd go as far as listing Obi Wan as my favorite Star Wars character. The shit with him and Mandalore during the clone wars was so tight and his rivalry with Maul is one of the best in the Star Wars universe.

The shit with him and Mandalore during the clone wars was so tight and his rivalry with Maul is one of the best in the Star Wars universe. That's honestly a tough question because things don't start getting super enjoyable until the shows goes on a bit, BUT there are a lot of callbacks and character development parts which require basically watching the whole thing. I started a rewatch a few months ago that I still haven't finished and thought that I could skip the filler episodes, but I was having a hard time distinguishing what actually qualified as that. Couldn't really find any good guides for it online either. Like, the final episode ends with a callback from an episode that I thought was complete, unimportant nonsense. I will say that season three is when it starts to pick up in maturity as Ezra is basically a young adult at that point. My honest apinion though is to let it ride all the way through. I enjoy it more than Clone Wars overall. Stay away from that Resistance show though. Absolutely nothing redeemable about it. Episode Four was pretty tight. It's crazy how when things are actually happening and we see the characters that we're there to watch doing things, it's enjoyable. Who would have thought? Super glad that they seemed to give an out to Boba getting his shit kicked in. Excited to see what comes next, especially with that music at the end. Does Fennec really not recognize Boba in that flashback? Like, she had to have known who Jango was. Kind of weird to me that they never acknowledge that there were thousands of people with his face in the galaxy at one point.
I'm assuming we're done with the flashbacks now as Boba is done with the bacta tank.

Episode made me realize that maybe Favreau just doesn't get Boba Fett because that felt very natural.

Mando is the best. The naboo fighter is amazing. It's funny that the best episode by far didn't have boba in it. Should've just been Mando season 3. Cant wait to see Grogu next week.

I thought I was tripping out for the first minute into the newest episode. I did not expect Mando to be in the series until ore towards the end. This episode felt very weird because it was actually good compared to all the previous episodes.

That flashback scene was fucking incredible Terminator 2 vibes. So crazy, I want a movie about that now. shout out Bryce Dallas Howard for directing this episode too, she killed it in her Mando episodes and this one as well. She should get her own trilogy or series.

Her skills have grown with each ep.

Holy shit, that episode was fantastic. Very telling that Boba wasn't anywhere near it. Really hoping we get some Grogu in the next episode.

For some reason I had it in my head that new episodes come out on Fridays instead of Wednesdays. Cool, I guess I have something to watch tonight.

Bleh. I just try to be entertained by shit anymore, but⌠BoBF is a bit of a let down so far.
Thereâs so many flashback scenes for being this early in the first season. If the time between him climbing out of the Sarlaac pit and taking over Jabba/Fortunaâs underworld throne is *that* important and it cannot wait to establish Bobaâs seeming change of attitude and motivation then the series should have begun there. The âpresent dayâ stuff has been some of the most lackluster thus far and seemingly held less screen time than flashbacks.
Episode 5 was great⌠for a The Mandolorian episode. Seriously, why? I expected crossover, but this episode set in the context of BoBF and plot wise just comes off as corny and lazy plot writing. Dinâs introduction to the series, considering the previous four episodes, felt almost like pandering. Like âWait! Donât get bored! Hey look! Itâs your favorite guy from that other series!â
Youâre telling me that you pick Tatooine as the setting, a planet within the Star Wars cannon that has always had a huge plethora of characters and stories going on in the background no matter the canon⌠and you come up with the puny Mod gang, donât even entertain the badass Wookie bounty hunter, and just bring the other Mandolorian back for Bobaâs âarmy.â COME ON.
Also, why spend the ENTIRE episode forwarding The Mandolorianâs plot just to get to 45 seconds of dialogue at the end to remind everybody âOh yeah. Wrong show. Different plot lines.â I feel like it was a missed opportunity for character/plot development and world building. Would have liked to have seen the Din crossover a little farther down this seasonâs road. Hell, at least have Din involved in some pre-existing conflict with the Pike Syndicate. You had both parties taking commercial freighters to Tatooine, you made a show of Din checking all his weapons with emphasis on the Dark Saber. The scene was right fucking there.

I'm assuming next episode will be Boba getting the band back together with Din eventually showing up again. We'll see Din meeting up with Grogu and Luke again as a flashback in Mandalorian season three. At least that's what will happen if they have any fucking brains. You absolutely cannot have the best episodes of a specific character's show be focused on the star of a different show.

Like 7 minutes into episode five, and I have been delivered, really, the only fan-service I have always wanted out of Star Wars, which is validation of my decades-long ponderance: "Like dudes have to fuck themselves up with their own laser swords every once in a while, right? Those things are fucking dangerous, jesus christ."
