So they totally have just been reading internet shit talk and chose to re-edit eps 5 & 6 with mando footage, right? Theres no way they didnt pivot to doing this. Shouldve just kept it mando and sprinkled in boba fetts shit while grogu was training or whatever Did the Rancor storyline just disappear? I thought the Hutts gave that it to Boba as a trap, then the Rancor was going to try and eat him or something. Then it just disappeared. Fucking weird ass show. boba’s gonna ride that rancor next episode.

Doubt it was reedited. It just the first four have a different director than these last two

I doubt they could turn around this fast in covid times and reshoot/edit. Unless they shot a bunch of stuff to cover their ass because they were worried people wouldn't like it.

They probably bought the entire population of Estonia and made them work 16 hour shifts 7 days a week for months to render the whole thing in cgi and we wouldn’t even know it because of how good their deepfakes are. They got Disney money now so they can actually do whatever the fuck they want.

They hired the guy that improved their deep fake from last season of Mando so that's partly why it looked so much better.

Nothing about the final episode? Was it that meh?? I thought it was decent. Would have been cool to see grogus journey as a Jedi and keep Luke and Ashoka in the mix. But maybe it’s better seeing him back with Mando. I was gonna flip if the Wookiee died and those dumbass mods survived Sucks they killed off Cad Bane so quick. Maybe they realized the series sucked and they weren’t gonna do a season 2
Excited for Obi-Wan

I really wish they’d killed off the mods. I mean, their whole shtick is a pun. They’re like one step away from Jarjar level

I liked the ep but as usual, Disney Star Wars has no stakes really. Everyone lives, no real suspense etc. I would have liked to see a better twist on the Luke choice from the previous ep, because making Grogu choose was super lame and didn't make any sense. It's like the first force sensitive he's encountered post ROTJ and he's going to cast him out because he has friends? Stupid.

Was hoping that the final episode would wrap certain things up nicely and was ultimately pretty disappointed. All in all, the whole purpose of the show was to steer him towards being a regular cast member of the Mandalorian in a way that made sense for his character. All of the beats were there. He was a lone wolf and found an adopted family in the form of the Tuskens. This leads him to see that having people by your side is a type of strength. When Din tells Boba that he'll die fighting beside him because of the creed, that drives it home. Cobb Vanth will be the next leader of Mos Espa/Tatooine, leaving Boba to join up with Din and the Mandalorians for what they do next.
The last episode had a lot of cool things happening on paper, but I found the execution to be a little lacking. Again, I'll lay most of the blame at Rodriguez's directing. I'm pretty let down that Grogu is back with Din this soon after the season two finale. Seems a little cheap and sucks the air out of what was such an emotional episode in hindsight. So it goes.
Obi-Wan Kenobi airs May 25th, 45 years to the day after the original Star Wars was released.

Isn't Cobb Vanth dead and wasnt Din banished from the group of Mandalorians? Or will he find another?

Cobb Vanth was in the bacta tank at the end of the episodes post credit scene.

The series really bummed me out. Final episode was so boring and dull. That fight scene was painful. I just always loved Boba Fett since a kid. I fell into the cult of fandom surrounding him. But this show destroyed my perceptions and expectations.
Oh well. Like I mentioned in a earlier post, I have to accept that hit or miss is just how the Star Wars cinematic universe is going to be now.

Some of the writing/acting in Boba really sucked, but I think Mando/Grogu made up for the suck. I also can't fucking wait for Obi Wan. I need more Jedi/Sith lore in my life.

Other dude answered your first question. Don't know why they tried to make it seem like he was grievously injured when it looked like he took that shot to the shoulder in the first place, but the end credits scene had Vanth in the bacta tank with the cybernetic mod installer standing by for when he was healed. To your second question, the crew of Mandalorians that Din came from was part of an extremist sect that branched off from the rest of the Mandalorians. This is addressed in Mando season two when Din meets Bo Katan and her small group. He will most likely be getting involved with them, especially since the darksaber ties him to what's left of Mandalore at large.

Also the wookie get injured on his leg and two of the mod kids help him walk, like what? He's gotta be pushing 1000lbs and these two nerds are helping support him? Then the next scene he's running on his own again

For Obi Wan, they have all but confirmed Obi Wan and Anakin will face each other down again. I feel like their meeting would undermine their meeting in A New Hope, and their talk about him being "but a learner" when they first met makes no sense. But I'm sure it will look cool and make prequel fan boys very happy.

As someone who was obsessed with Star Wars as a kid but don’t really have that kind of emotion invested in the franchise anymore as a 35 year old, I enjoyed boba fett overall and had fun with the finale. dense nuggs of fat buds helps too. But the mods sucked straight up.

I've read two separate things that seem to indicate that John Williams is doing some music for Kenobi. Hell yeah. I love what Ludwig Göransson has brought to the table, but having John do something for some of the most important characters in the saga will be nice.

Show is going to be nuts. Glad they're holding on to the Vader/Hayden reveal.
