some years i think karl is a total bum, other years i respect him as a real-deal worker this was fucking great/i lol'd, but like, doc gallows was just literally doing shows in the Maritimes in Canada for probably under 200 ppl a show. |

For the guys who train in this thread, how hard is it to learn how to take a lariat like that doing the whole backflip and basically rolling on your neck making it look like you just got murdered. Obviously you need to have a strong ass neck, I see that you lean forward with your right foot and the momentum from the lariat flips you over, I'm trying to figure out how you roll on your neck like that without needing a neck brace. Pro wrestling is fucking amazing and Machine Gun Karl would be a lot higher on my list if he wasn't most likely still a womanizing alcoholic. This isnβt hard to do at all although I would never bump like that. It fucking sucks landing on the back of your head/neck but the guys in Japan also do a ton of neck training and this was a big match. |

It's extra hard for someone like that to get clean because he's probably in constant pain from decades of beating the hell out of his body. Now it's become a cycle of using until he gets in trouble, chilling out because he has no choice, then starting back up as soon as he starts to feel like shit again. My step dad is an Ironworker and he's been the same way for as long as I can remember. |

Ref fucked up but it was only his 5th match too. good stuff man. question about the crowd work. are you normally afraid of public speaking? ever been in a band any of that shit? i didn't really find working the crowd all that hard when i wrestled mostly cus in my head i was just having fun and honking off so whatever i did i knew i could get a reaction. i'd say just keep in mind that most wrestlers that are over, get over because they work the crowd. be it heel or babyface whatever it is you gotta have some connection with em. doesnt really matter how great of a wrestler you are anymore, its about what the crowd can take home. but keep at it bro |
