Yeah I’ve tried to give it another chance and it still sucks. Maybe in 6 months it will be better. Saw a promo with Bayley, Io, and Dakota and they all just stood in a line and took turns talking. Felt so unnatural.
Definitely not looking forward to another four hour AEW PPV (plus two hour pre-show). I’ll probably go to bed after three hours and watch highlights of the main event.

From what little I’ve seen of WWE since Vince left I can say it’s decent. Definitely nothing to write home about but there is definitely more cohesive story lines and a bit more emphasis on wrestling.
With the exception of a few performers I don’t care about anything in NXT.

That’s what’s crazy about that time. End stage WCW was doing great ratings, just not as monstrously insane as wwf was, and they scaled too quickly and we’re losing millions and millions. I know it’s all relative but it’s very silly to see people arguing and analyzing 2 million viewers and “a .4 in the demo”

Also I’m in a hotel in Grand Rapids for work and I decided to pop on Raw and the main event divas match may be one of the worst I’ve ever seen. The finish is one of them getting tagged in, she jumps off the ring and hides then does a surprise roll up and starts crying

People are just nostalgic for the characters and promos, a lot of the matches in that era were totally forgettable and plenty were awful.

Yep, none of it holds up. Every match was 35 seconds long and all punch-kick then a DQ finish, fucking awful. Then cut to a skit where goldust is pooping or something and they sexually harass sable live on air (she won that lawsuit)

Just to clarify I was just trying to say that raw doing 2 million views in 2022 is kinda big considering wrestling isn't as popular anymore as it used to be so whatever Triple Haitch is doing could potentially lead to a big shift in ratings just like the attitude era. The attitude era will always be the reason why you can never tell anyone that you're a fan a wrestling they will always generalize you with those guys it will always be cringe I was just making the comparison of the shift in the company

Surprised by the attitudes era hate, it’s either good or hilariously bad which is what I watch wrestling for. It’s the best era of American wrestling imo. I’d rather go back and watch 1996-1998 ECW or WCW than anything being put out now.
80’s-90’s Japan still rules supreme though.

I was perfect age for attitude era being 11-13 from 97-99 but yeah I wouldn’t hold it in any regard at all if I had been older when it was happening. Outside of foley maybe, who is still a favorite of all time and always will be and transcends that era obviously.
