Hot take: I donโt think Edge was ever really that good. Just a top star in a bad era. I donโt even think Edge and Christian were a particularly good tag team until they started working gimmick matches and so the fuck what? A gimmick match can get just about anyone over. Bob Holly would have been future endeavored if not for gimmick matches. He's like Christian rock Randy Orton Perfectly fine but nothing you need to go out of your way for. It will be interesting to see what a pure WWE guy like this will actually do though. |

Yeah gonna echo that I never really gave a shit about edge, his whole singles run happened a few years after I stopped watching wwe and as someone else said, edge/Christian were my least favorite team of the TLC era.

Christian was always going to be good in AEW. Def the better promo between the two. Def the better worker. Had more experience working in other feds not the E. I had zero doubt he would be good. He was TNA champ back when they were a real wrestling company.

At the scrum, Edge said he wants to help and I was like dude, don't you know what happened to the last guy who said that?
But then Christian said he wants to guide younger talent and I see this great super hero vs. super villain storyline of two guys thinking they can help the younger generation being two sides of a coin but both being too full of themselves.

The best part of Wrestledream was on the preshow when they were giving flowers to Inoki's son and they wen't to a camera on Christian watching a tv smiling. The creep turtleneck fucker preying on fatherless children gimmick is the best thing in wrestling today.

ZSJ vs Dragon absolutely rocked, I wanna watch it again and hope they do a rematch. Some of their chain was just so pretty to watch and so creative, both dudes are machines. Dream match that very much lived up to the hype
