If Bobrovsky gets Conn Smythe after last night that would be embarrassing. McDavid should 100% get it but it will be Barkov, should pair well with his Selke bobrovsky with one “bad” game the entire playoffs

Yeah I wonder if that one performance takes him out of the discussion. Barkov likely, they've absolutely shut down offense this post season and he's the majority of the reason. Bob wen't to +155 for odds after Saturday, so betting markets are taking into o-count his one poor performance. McDavid ain't winning the Smythe cause the series is over Tuesday folks.

Bobrovsky's save percentage for the entire playoffs is .909 (bad) and a 2.27 GAA (bad).

Andrei Vasilevskiy had a 1.90 GAA when he won the Conn Smythe in 2021. Jonathan Quick had a 1.47 in 2012. Tim Thomas had a 1.98 in 2014. Cam Ward had a 2.14 in 2006. JS Giguere had a 1.62 in 2003. Patrick Roy had a 1.70 in 2001. Mike Vernon had a 1.76 in 1997.
So yes, 2.27 is bad for a goalie vying for the Conn Smythe.

It’s definitely not bad at all but having a good GAA and a slightly-below-average save percentage speaks more to the quality of the team in front of him than it does to his performance

The Hronek contract seems okay. Maybe would have preferred it being 5 or 6 years and less money, but RHD are never cheap and at least he's already got the chemistry with Hughes.

They've got about 20 mill in cap space. I don't think the Guentzel stuff is serious, but they still have room to sign Zadorov and another winger or two. And if they can get someone to take Mikheyev off their hands then they basically have 25 mill in cap, so even better.

Might have just seen a bad angle but that call on Hyman seemed extremely suspect

Myers is supposedly taking a cheaper deal so let's take away another 3 mill, then that makes it 10 mill to find a 3rd line centre and 2 middle 6 wingers. It's a tight squeeze, but it's not impossible.

That Tkachuk save was insane. Sucks they gave up a goal like 2 seconds later anyway.

EDM had 3 pretty insane win streaks this season after 3 consecutive losses.
8-game win streak (Nov. 24 - Dec. 12) 15-game win streak (Dec. 21 - Jan. 27) 5-game win streak (Feb. 26 - Mar. 5)
None of those win streaks were all against FLA tho.

Edmonton pushes it to 7, then they lose.
