Yeah it seems like there had been rumors around the program but something definitely happened today. Supposedly Saban had a normal morning, did the SEC coach conference call, interviewed a potential WR coach.. then in the afternoon told the players that he couldn't commit to doing everything it takes. He made some reference to taking care of his wife and the CB Terrion Arnold said the same on twitter. Kinda makes me wonder if she had some kind of episode or grim diagnosis or something today that tipped the scales.
Dan Lanning is in Tuscaloosa right now to interview tomorrow.

Also I wouldn't want to be the next guy at Alabama. I would want to be after that guy is fired 3 years in. It's a TERRIBLE job under normal circumstances. Following Saban? I can't think of a fucking worse job. Maybe Penn State after Pedoterno. |
