its so disheartening seeing what bootlegging has turned into. like 6-8 years ago it was all friends just pushing each other to do cool shit. no one cared about money. then covid happened and the money got really good cause of the stimmys and everyone started really eating off bootlegging and then the economy got bad and the money dried up. rather than go back to working a real job a lot of them just started compromising themselves into a creative death spiral where they were catering to the lowest common denominator and then a lot of the friends started to get competitive with each other because the dollar wen't from plenty go around to fighting for scraps.
bootleg stores wen't from being the alternative to official stuff that people needed to them being worse than the very same stores they claimed to be the alternative to.
