Embiid is real good and until that body gives out I don't think he'll stop. but that is not a sustainable playstyle and his body will eventually fall apart.

You quoted my post to make it look like Jokic losing by two points to the actually pretty good '23-24 Magic was similar to reacting (or overreacting) to Embiid losing by nearly 40 pts to an obviously overachieving not that great otherwise they don't swing that OG trade last week Knicks team.
All that glosses over the fact that Embiid's fallen short in the playoffs every single year he's been in them, to the point that even he admits there's no rivalry with Philly and Boston because Boston just kicks their ass every time they play. Nobody doubts Jokic's MVP achievements. Embiid wen't on a multiseason complain campaign and basically got his because he'd built up such a narrative over not getting one + also happened to play real well + probably a little voter fatigue.

And Jalen Brunson's playing great but, much like the Knicks of the past two decades, hasn't done anything yet. That was the overarching point I was making: Embiid, the "MVP", was getting his shit pushed in on national TV to a largely unproven up-and-coming star for what feels like the fifteenth time in recent memory...

knicks also aren't that bad this year. they've got the 9th ranked offense across the league vs. the magic who've got the 21st. not really a surprise the knicks were able to have their way offensively against the 76ers.

...but those stats now go out the window considering the roster adjustments they just made. And the sample size AFTER the roster adjustments is too small. Like I said, if the Knicks were scaring anybody they wouldn't be making these significant roster moves right now.
