His entire legacy will be that of a perpetual ring chaser that failed miserably almost everywhere People talk about him going back to OKC and winning a title to complete the arc but imo his legacy is irredeemable.
His ring chasing only succeeded once because he capitalized on a fluke the likes of which we've never seen in celery cap era sports to join a team coming off one of the best seasons of all time.
It was such a bitch move that it made people support post-Heatles Lebron.

I will tell you first hand that I completely understand why a black millionaire would rather live in Oakland than Edmond, Oklahoma. But no, I will never respect him for that shit and I truly do not think they would even welcome him back here. He burnt a lot of bridges with the org on his way out.

Durant HOF plaque should have the Twitter bird logo on it since his legacy is that of being a COLOSSAL hater who's terminally online

lol the Knicks gave up 5 1st round picks for Mikal Bridges They have literally six firsts between this year and next. So letโs assume they sent both 24s โ an absolutely dreadful draft in which they pick in the mid-20s anyhow โ they still have firsts in 25, 26, 27 and 28. I'll take a chance on possibly the most fun Knicks team I've ever watched over the risk of losing a future superstar who is currently 14 years old any fucking day.

I think the guard crop have some solid prospects. And I'm sold on Edey. OKC needs to grab him.

It's funny because his whole "you da real MVP" thing became pop culture vernacular right away, even non sports weirdos @ work were saying it. He was a sports darling to many casuals.
It's like within a year and a half of that, everybody hated him and he was releasing that wack fucking shoe with the embarrassing in-his-feelings soles lol

I appreciate what him and Russ and Jimbo coming to OKC did for the city. He is still directly responsible for some of the best in person sports moments of my entire adult life, esp when he wetted that 3 in gallo's eyeball to beat the knicks at the buzzer in 2010(? I've done some drugs since then) but to go to join the team you just choked the 3-1 lead on and bitch that people don't like you is the most pussy bullshit ever.

There's few things comparable to KD bailing for Golden State. Artest losing to the Lakers in '09 only to sign there that summer was closest up to that point. Just straight blatant "can't beat em? join em" stuff, regardless of how his fans (he has them?) spin it.

Eh that isn't the reason the trade is bad. The trade is bad because it hamstrings the ability to further build around this core by limiting the future trade capital.

The funny thing is that unlike KD who I think is a gigantic pussy who is afraid to do the work himself/knows he can't do it himself, I actually appreciate known spineless coward Paul George because he was at least under a contract and got us SGA and 14 picks

Eh that isn't the reason the trade is bad. The trade is bad because it hamstrings the ability to further build around this core by limiting the future trade capital. Fair point, but they're not even any more hamstrung than most hopeful contenders. They still have a bunch of picks stashed. It was costly, but they made a move that undoubtedly makes the team better for the foreseeable future.
Everybody wants to have the assets to acquire a superstar should one come available but that opportunity is extraordinarily rare.
