he's a hard one for me to track. His adp is outside the top 5, and in sleeper mocks I've been doing, he's available at 8 probably 25-30% of my drafts. But there are some fantasy guys saying he's their number 1 overall player.

I think replacing arthur smith with Raheem Morris alone will be great for him, and add in a significant upgrade at QB too.

My only reservation is I think that team has one of the best RB2s in the NFL, and I'm worried Allgeier just cuts into total volume is all.

Alright so here’s the situation- I’m in a keeper league where we do auction draft. Very deep league (14 teams) so it’s super slim pickings and you can only keep one player and only twice (for 3 years total).

Auction budget is $200; so I’m deciding between Sam La Porta for $8 or Raheem Mostert for $15. Doubtful that either will repeat their production from last year but decent RBs are super hard to come by.

What would y’all do

Laporta’s adp is in the mid 30s and Mostert is like 85 (running back 25). If everyone only keeps 1 player I would think equivalent rbs will be available and would keep Laporta. Especially if it’s ppr, Mostert doesn’t catch many passes and it’s very unlikely he gets close to scoring 21 tds again.

I’m in an auction league ($200 budget) this year, any tips or strats? Always done a snake draft so this kinda scares me. Also, go La Porta. Mostert is old and likely won’t produce for much longer, I can see La Porta being a workhorse.

I’m probably not the best person to be giving advice because every year I get into early bidding wars, end up blowing 75% of my budget on a few marquee players and then can’t draft again for 2 hours lol.

Auctions are fun, they always get weird. Do whatever you want, just don't panic. Paying big for two guys can feel gross, but I've seen it work out many times (and vice versa) so there is no golden goose strategy.

However, I have one bit of advice that I literally never see people employ and it blows my mind. Use your early round nominations on big names you know you don't want. Make someone drop $55 on a guy you have no interest in to lighten the competition for a guy you do want. Example, I don't like bidding high for TE, so throwing out Kelce earlyish usually starts a bidding war. Works great with top QBs too. Make someone who really wants Josh Allen pay for him early and reduce their spending capital available for other positions. Hot tip, though, you need to stop doing this once you're in the single digit range cause then you can easily wind up with dudes you don't want.
