Trey gave grades out live in the zoom call…should’ve been there! If it had been at the originally agreed upon time, I would have. Some of us have cars to sell tho I’m just saying, I WOULD buy a car from you.

I prioritized draft grades over the actual grading I need to do for the classes I teach, so y'all better be grateful.
Draft Grades TOB9L 2023
Alex K New LJ Deal New Me Same FF Res
Derrick Henry at 3 overall in a PPR league is definitely a choice. Not a good one, but it is a choice. That said, I actually don’t hate the pick. Barring injury, he is pretty much guaranteed Top 5 RB, and if he continues to expand his pass catching from last season, there’s always a chance he ends up as the RB1. Buuuut, he has a lot of tread on the tires and getting close to 30, so I wouldn’t bank on him playing every game. In general, you have some good upside at RB with JK Dobbins and Khalil Herbert, but if neither of them work out, you could be in trouble. WR depth is okay and the accidental Zay Flowers pick in the 6th round could have been a lot worse. Personally, having both top 2 WRs in a PPR league being big playmaker style players isn’t a strategy that I’m a fan of, both are very good but you’ll probably have weeks where neither have any big plays and then you’re boned in those weeks. Geno as your only QB means you’ll be streaming QBs. I’ve done that a few times. It stinks. Also, you lose some points for missing the zoom hang. The commish should at least make an appearance.

Trev Kittles Joker Tattoo Addiction
Going with Chubb and AJ Brown at the round 1-2 turn would be A+ in a standard scoring league, in a PPR league it is probably closer to a B. But with Hunt gone, Chubb could see a slight uptick in the passing game, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up about that happening. Ridley and Godwin could wind up both being absolute steals and both have potential to finish in the top 12 at the position. Ridley has a legitimate shot at finishing top 3 if things work out. But obviously both come with a bit a risk. I was gonna dog on AJ Dillon being your RB 2, but you also have Damien Pierce, who IMO is a better RB 2 than Dillon, and has good upside. I kind of remember someone in our league getting way too excited about the veteran QB their favorite time traded for in the offseason and then drafting that player with very high expectations only to have not only their hopes dashed for the future of their favorite team, but also completely blowing their chance at winning a championship in the fantasy league. Oh yeah, that was me. And like Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers will have Nathaniel Hackett calling the shots for the offense, sooooo, yeah. Sorry man.
B
Trey Professor Missed the Playoffs
With the first overall pick I had to go against my better instincts and draft the other 4th year WR with first round draft capital and JJ initials. Even though this will obviously be the year Jerome Juedy finally breaks out and proves that he is the best WR of that draft class, I’m a sheep and drafted Justin Jefferson. Really don’t love my WR depth beyond that. I think Olave has a good chance at being great this season, but after that it’s kind of a crap shoot. But I guess there’s a shot that one of Lazard, Nico Collins, or Gabe Davis will take a step up this year, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Mattison and Gibbs as my RB 1 and 2 is less than ideal, but that’s the nature of having the first overall pick. I was torn between Mattison and Dobbins and I’m sure no matter which I wen't with, I would have made the wrong decision, but picking the RB from the same team as my WR1 was DEFINITELY the wrong choice. I was happy to snag Herbert in round 5 after the huge run of QBs in round 3, but in hindsight, I wish I would have taken another RB there and waited another two rounds where I could have grabbed Trevor Lawrence. Looking forward to another season where I finish just outside of the playoffs because of some dumb tie breaker.
B-
James Yule Phantom Lord
I don’t hate the first three picks of Ja’Marr, DeVonta Smith, and Najee, but I am a little nervous about Najee this year. He looked very bad last year. It could have been a symptom of the horrible offense in Pittsburg, but I also worry about Jaylen Warren stealing touches. If Najee isn’t a bellcow RB then he loses a lot of value. I drafted Miles Sanders in another league but I’m pretty nervous about his role in Carolina too, if neither of those RBs perform to expectations, it’ll be pretty brutal. I barely even know who Evan Hull or Roschon Johnson are, but RB depth is so weak everywhere this year, so who knows I guess. Jamaal Williams will at least be flex worthy until Kamara comes back. Cousins could be a good value, but he’s never really been a QB that will win you weeks… well, except that one time he scored like 35 points in the second half against the Colts (sorry Tim). I know everyone is hyped about Kincaid, but he is still a rookie tight end. Everyone says the same shit about him as they did about Kyle Pitts, if anything Pitts was hyped up way more, and we saw what happened there. Even though Pitts had a great season by rookie TE standards, he still barely finished in the top 12 at the position.
B
Ed Tweed Don’t Luck At My Fleener
Isiah Pacheco is your second RB. Do I need to continue? Ekeler is great, but I worry that if Keenan stays healthy, he is going to lose a lot of pass catching work. If his receptions go down and he doesn’t score like 20 TDs, he will probably have an okay season, but not nearly as good as last year. I’m sure Josh Allen will be great, and maybe Garrett Wilson has a true breakout year two. But will those three be enough to carry the rest of your team? You do have some good potential upside on the bench with Skyy Moore, Michael Thomas, and Jaylen Warren. Hopefully for your sake one or two of those work out so you don’t have to start DJ Moore or Isiah Pacheco.
C
Tim Matt AND Sara Support Secspest
Fuck you. This draft is actually very good. But I’ve hated all of your other drafts that ended up being great, so maybe this one will actually suck. Your RBs are great and if Taylor actually plays this year, then the rest of us are gonna be fucked. WR is the one area that is somewhat lacking, but Dotson has a good shot at having a breakout campaign. At least you had to settle at QB for Jalen Hurts… goddamn it. Sara Board’s Bottom Bitch
A+
Sara/Rosemary Board’s Bottom Bitch
Is RB really that bad this year? Cam Akers as the second best RB on your squad? Better hope Pollard doesn’t fall apart under a heavy workload. Amon-Ra is a solid safe pick that should provide some nice stability with the occasional huge game. I firmly think Watson is gonna be dogshit this year and that doesn’t bode well for the Cooper pick. Ditto for Russell Wilson and Courtland Sutton. Lamar should be solid this year, but drafting him in the third round means you missed out on some very good players that could have helped the rest of the roster. Lamar will probably win you a few weeks by himself, but he might also be hurt for half the season…
C+
Paul RIP Crunchy
Getting Bijan in the second round is a very solid value and he realistically could finish as the RB1 this season, but he is a rookie who we haven’t actually seen in a real game so there is some risk there. Either way, it was a great pick and being able to pair him with Davante Adams should pay off, assuming Jimmy G isn’t absolute dogshit. Don’t love your RB and WR 2s though. Javonte probably won’t be himself after that really bad injury last year and Scary Terry is already hurt. There just isn’t a lot of solid depth to carry the team if those top two picks can’t get it done. Kirk will probably take a step back with Ridley coming in and eating up a ton of targets. But you have a very top heavy draft with Bijan, Adam, Burrow, and Andrews and they might get it done regardless of how shitty the rest of the team is.
B
James K The Amazing Corgis
I like CMC this year. Pretty much hate the rest of the team though. Mahomes will be good too, but drafting him in the second is a reach when I expect many of the QBs drafted a round later will probably be fairly close to him. I don’t have any faith in Tee Higgins, he hasn’t really been great with Chase on the field, and isn’t a good WR1 option in my apinion. And Drake London, he is a good player, I just don’t know that he will have enough targets or touchdown opportunities to really shine. Breece Hall might not be able to make cuts, which turns out is very important for RBs. Alvin Kamara was garbage last year and is missing a chunk of the season. If you make the playoffs on a technicality again maybe I’ll bump you up a letter grade, but until then…
C-
Matt Sick of Sickos TWU
Have I mentioned how much I fucking hate Kyle Pitts? Okay, maybe I don’t hate him, but I hate him as a fantasy prospect. That dude boned me last year, absolute waste of a pick. And I don’t really see things getting better for him this year. He might not even be the 4th target on the team. The only bright spot I really see on the roster is Justin Fields, who has a chance to run for 1000 yards this season and will probably win you a few weeks. Oh, have I mentioned how much I hate Michael Pittman? Wait, have I mentioned how much I hate Jerome Juedy? Your team is like a roster full of evil Ex’s who have absolutely destroyed my past teams. At least you’ve got Cooper Kupp, there’s no way you can go wrong there right… right?
C+
Joey Team HideYaChestnut
I think grabbing Trevor Lawrence in round 7 when the rest of the QBs wen't in round 3 is gonna end up being a steal. There is a reason that dude was drafted number 1 overall. He is good and I think he is going to have a true breakout season this year now that he has better leadership and more weapons around him. That said, stacking him with a RB kind of nerfs your upside on a week to week basis. Joe Mixon should be a good value if the targets from last season continue and no one else gets shot at his house. Keenan Allen is getting a bit older and is already injury prone, but if healthy he should be a target hog. Should be a good pick as long as you don’t also plan to start other Chargers WRs… wait, you drafted ALL of the Chargers WRs? Someone trade this man Everett for Kelce straight up.
Danny Remember Deflategate?
Snagging Tyreek and Ceedee Lamb is gonna pay off big time. And Rhamondre and Kenneth Walker could both be great as well. Good depth pieces on the bench between Hollywood, Montgomery, and Brian Robinson. And Bateman seemed to have been forgotten about this season, but could have a nice comeback this season in the new Baltimore offensive system. Very solid draft all around. Pretty good stability with enough upside to win the league, which is the sweet spot people should look for in the draft.

I'm in three leagues and I lost in all of them. Aaron Rodgers is done for the year, and the Jets won a game that will certainly come back to haunt them in draft position.
Overall, not a great week.

In a 14 team auction keeper league and I absolutely blew my load on the draft by spending 80% of my budget on Justin Jefferson and Jamarr Chase, so my team is them and all scrubs pretty much.
Still managed to win this week due to picking up Tyler Allgier for $1 in like the 15th round, really hoping he stays highly involved in the offense.
