Week 2 Full-Tilt Draft Grades 2024
Jim's BiL Lurker o-count
8 Ja'Marr Chase Cin, WR 1 17 Derrick Henry Bal, RB 2 32 Travis Kelce KC, TE 3 41 DeVonta Smith Phi, WR 4 56 Rhamondre Stevenson NE, RB 5 65 Jordan Love GB, QB 6 80 Diontae Johnson Car, WR 7 89 Christian Watson GB, WR 8 104 DeAndre Hopkins Ten, WR 9 113 Dallas Goedert Phi, TE 10 128 Ezekiel Elliott Dal, RB 11 137 Steelers D/ST Pit, D/ST 12 152 Cameron Dicker LAC, K 13 161 Jared Goff Det, QB 14
There’s good and bad here. Derrick Henry’s usage is troubling, he got bailed out of a terrible week 1 with a TD, but they just didn’t use him much and J. Hill got all of the pass catching work out of the backfield. I think Henry will be a serviceable RB2, but certainly won’t pay off 2nd round value. Chase will see better days and wasn’t terrible in a game he wasn’t even supposed to play in. But if Burrow doesn’t start looking better and Tee Higgins gets healthy and takes away some targets, he also might not pay off the draft value. Smith and Stevenson both look like great values after week 1, and if you had any RB depth I’d recommend selling Stevenson high, because the Pats won’t be in that game script many times this season. You already made the smart move of cutting Goedert, but you’re kind of stuck with Diontae Johnson, Watson, and Hopkins and I think those will be terrible over the course of the season. Hopkins is playing through an injury and will be all season, Watson just lost the only viable option at QB on his team for at least a few weeks, maybe more, and Johnson is on arguably the worst offense in the league and didn’t even look like the number 1 option in that offense. Oh, and Kelce still stinks. C+
Kittles Joker Tattoo Addiction NO. Player ROUND 9 A.J. Brown Phi, WR 1 16 Puka Nacua LAR, WR 2 33 De'Von Achane Mia, RB 3 40 Sam LaPorta Det, TE 4 57 Zamir White LV, RB 5 64 Tank Dell Hou, WR 6 81 Dak Prescoot Dal, QB 7 88 Jayden Reed GB, WR 8 105 Austin Ekeler Wsh, RB 9 112 Jets D/ST NYJ, D/ST 10 129 Gabe Davis Jax, WR 11 136 Zach Charbonnet Sea, RB 12 153 Greg Zuerlein NYJ, K 13 160 Tua Tagovailoa Mia, QB 14
Two of your top three picks are injured already, White looked terrible, Dell looked like the third option in that offense. Reed looked great, but then lost his QB, he might end up being okay because I can see them trying to force him the ball near the LOS to make big plays, but I’d be scared to start him. Gabe Davis is still Gabe Davis. Ekeler at least got some targets, and is startable in a pinch, but given your other RB options, you might be starting him every week. On the upside I think Prescoot and LaPorta will both be much better than their week 1 performances would suggest. And given the lack of talent at TE this year, LaPorta could end up being a difference maker. I also think Tank Dell will take over as the WR2 in Houston and should have some big weeks over the course of the season, but who knows when those will come. AJ Brown is still great, so there is that and if Achane can stay healthy he will end up a great round 3 value. B-
Champ-Champ, PhD NO. Player ROUND 2 CeeDee Lamb Dal, WR 1 23 Chris Olave NO, WR 2 26 Rachaad White TB, RB 3 47 Cooper Kupp LAR, WR 4 50 Trey McBride Ari, TE 5 71 Calvin Ridley Ten, WR 6 74 Javonte Williams Den, RB 7 95 Kyler Murray Ari, QB 8 98 Jerome Ford Cle, RB 9 119 Chuba Hubbard Car, RB 10 122 Jerome Jeudy Cle, WR 11 143 Saints D/ST NO, D/ST 12 146 Jaleel McLaughlin Den, RB 13 167 Jason Sanders Mia, K 14 My biggest concern after week 1 is that my 7th round RB is going to be a bust. All things considered after week 1, I can’t be mad about that. Most of my big misses were towards the end of the draft (Broncos RBs, Chubba, maybe Kyler). Sure, some players had down weeks, but not in ways that makes me too worried. People are panicking on Olave, but it was a tough CB matchup in a terrible game script, so I’ll reserve judgement until later. White had a good week and 6 targets for 75 yards is very encouraging, but Bucky Irving looked good and that worries me. Like Olave, Lamb’s relatively weak performance I chalk up to a bad game script. Javonte looked terrible, but I should at least be able to ride with Ford as RB2 for the time being. Kyler also looked bad, but who needs a QB? McBride looks like one of the few viable TEs in the league this year, saw a lot of targets, ran a ton of routes, will hopefully have some big games in the future. Oh shit, I almost forgot that I might have the biggest steal of the draft with Kupp at the end of the 4th round. Even before Puka wen't down Kupp looked great and obviously without Puka he is going to get a million targets per game. I do worry about his health long term. Getting tackled 15 times a game and running 10 miles of pre-snap motions can’t be easy on his ancient 31 year old body, but for now, he looks like the guy who won the triple crown. B+
Phantom Lord NO. Player ROUND 7 Bijan Robinson Atl, RB 1 18 Mike Evans TB, WR 2 31 Malik Nabers NYG, WR 3 42 Brandon Aiyuk SF, WR 4 55 D'Andre Swift Chi, RB 5 66 Rashee Rice KC, WR 6 79 David Njoku Cle, TE 7 90 Tony Pollard Ten, RB 8 103 Keon Coleman Buf, WR 9 114 J.K. Dobbins LAC, RB 10 127 Kirk Cousins Atl, QB 11 138 Seahawks D/ST Sea, D/ST 12 151 Caleb Williams Chi, QB 13 162 Cairo Santos Chi, K 14
It was a rough week 1, but mostly due to terrible start/sit decisions. Bijan at number 7 is looking like a great round 1 value, and Rice and Dobbins are absolute steals where you drafted them. Pollard also looks like a great value, but Which is good because Nabers looks like he was drafted way too highly. I wouldn’t be totally worried, especially since you have a solid set of WRs in Evans and Rice, he probably won’t return value, but as flex option he should be fine and who knows, once they decide to start the GOAT Drew Lock, he might even have a great second half of the season. The obvious holes are QB and now TE. At least you made some strong waiver claims to help out at those positions… B+ (would be an A- if your TE didn’t die and you picked almost any other QB options)
Isaiah Rodgers FanDuel o-count NO. Player ROUND 4 Tyreek Hill Mia, WR 1 21 Michael Pittman Jr. Ind, WR 2 28 Drake London Atl, WR 3 45 Patrick Mahomes KC, QB 4 52 Aaron Jones Min, RB 5 69 Evan Engram Jax, TE 6 76 Brian Robinson Jr. Wsh, RB 7 93 Jordan Addison Min, WR 8 100 Devin Singletary NYG, RB 9 117 T.J. Hockenson Min, TE 10 124 Jonathon Brooks Car, RB 11 141 Brandon Aubrey Dal, K 12 148 Chiefs D/ST KC, D/ST 13 165 Josh Downs Ind, WR 14
Tyreek is still Tyreek, but Pittman and London are looking like pretty awful picks in rounds 2 and 3. But despite wasting early picks on what look like bad options at WR, you did get good value at RB in Jones and Brian Robinson Jr. and shoring that up with Jordon Mason is looking pretty smart. Like all other TEs, Engram had a bad week 1, but will hopefully see more work moving forward. If not, hopefully Hockenson gets healthy soon, because it’s bleak out there at TE. Mahomes will be fine, but won’t return value. From a fantasy perspective, he just wasn’t that great last season, and it doesn’t look like anything is different this season. He’ll have better weeks, but there are QBs drafted several rounds later who will be better at the end of the season. B
Ed Tweed's Socials and SSN Depo NO. Player ROUND 6 Saquon Barkley Phi, RB 1 19 Isiah Pacheco KC, RB 2 30 Deebo Samuel Sr. SF, WR 3 43 Joe Mixon Hou, RB 4 54 C.J. Stroud Hou, QB 5 67 Chris Godwin TB, WR 6 78 Justin Tucker Bal, K 7 91 Khalil Shakir Buf, WR 8 102 Brock Bowers LV, TE 9 115 Jakobi Meyers LV, WR 10 126 Marvin Mims Jr. Den, WR 11 139 Tyler Allgeier Atl, RB 12 150 Texans D/ST Hou, D/ST 13 163 Dalton Schultz Hou, TE 14
Ugh. I hate that I have to do this. This is a great draft, despite the troll kicker pick in round 7. Your end of draft flyers aren’t gonna work out, but you had enough great picks in the first 9 rounds that it doesn’t really matter. Obviously your RBs are great, Bowers looked great in week 1, and Stroud looked solid and has great weapons. Your WRs could use a lot of help, but Deebo and Godwin should both be solid. Excellent starting lineup. Depth is absolutely terrible, but you don’t get points from your bench so as long as your lineup stays healthy, it might not be a concern. Could have been bumped to A+ if you hadn’t committed to trolling Alex in the 7th round when Worthy, Reed, and Brian Thomas Jr. were still all on the board. A
Board's Bottom Bitch NO. Player ROUND 5 Amon-Ra St. Brown Det, WR 1 20 Travis Etienne Jr. Jax, RB 2 29 Nico Collins Hou, WR 3 44 Jalen Hurts Phi, QB 4 53 Kyle Pitts Atl, TE 5 68 Raheem Mostert Mia, RB 6 77 Christian Kirk Jax, WR 7 92 Rome Odunze Chi, WR 8 101 Chase Brown Cin, RB 9 116 Jake Elliott Phi, K 10 125 Antonio Gibson NE, RB 11 140 Bengals D/ST Cin, D/ST 12 149 Brock Purdy SF, QB 13 164 Chig Okonkwo Ten, TE 14
Solid draft overall. Amon-Ra will likely return to form after a disastrous week 1. Nico looks like the guy in Houston. Etienne looks pretty good, but I worry about how much work he is splitting with Bigsby. Hurts will be good, but I do have some slight concern that him and Barkley will be dividing a lot of rushing TDs inside the 5 and if that’s the case, he won’t have nearly as many TDs as last year. Pitts was bailed out with a TD, but had some promising stats in regards to snap volume and routes ran, so hopefully it’ll look better when Cousins isn’t being hit within a half second of snapping the ball. Mostert is already hurt. I thought this was a good pick when it happened but after week 1 I’m completely fading Mostert. Kirk will be a fine flex option. Hopefully Caleb Williams and the entire Bears offense will look better moving forward, if so, Odunze could come along, but I just don’t see him being a real fantasy option this year in that offense with both Moore and Keenan getting more targets. B
RIP CRUNCHY NO. Player ROUND 1 Christian McCaffrey SF, RB 1 24 DK Metcalf Sea, WR 2 25 Alvin Kamara NO, RB 3 48 Amari Cooper Cle, WR 4 49 Lamar Jackson Bal, QB 5 72 George Kittle SF, TE 6 73 Keenan Allen Chi, WR 7 96 Nick Chubb Cle, RB 8 97 Hollywood Brown KC, WR 9 120 Cole Kmet Chi, TE 10 121 Browns D/ST Cle, D/ST 11 144 Evan McPherson Cin, K 12 145 Aaron Rodgers NYJ, QB 13 168 Tre Tucker LV, WR 14
Red alert! This is just brutal. CMCPTSD strikes again and coupled with an otherwise bad draft, I just don’t think this will be your season. The best you can hope for now is that the 49ers sit CMC until he is healthy to avoid reinjury, but that might also mean you don’t have him for like 4 weeks. If I were you, I’d be trying to trade for Mason right now. Problem is, you don’t have a ton of trade capital. Metcalf will have better games for sure, but he’ll be what he has always been, a top end WR2. Cooper has to catch passes from Watson, who looks fucking awful. Allen got a great target share in an offense with less than 100 passing yards. Chubb and Brown are both taking up bench spots while injured and Rodgers is taking up a bench spot being Rodgers. Lamar is Lamar. He will have great weeks, he will have more mediocre weeks. Kamara looks like he will still be a very solid option and will likely see even more receiving targets in better game scripts. If you can luck into some wins early until CMC is healthy, you have a shot, but it’s a long shot. C
The Amazing Corgis NO. Player ROUND 10 Garrett Wilson NYJ, WR 1 15 Jahmyr Gibbs Det, RB 2 34 Stefon Diggs Hou, WR 3 39 Josh Jacobs GB, RB 4 58 Zay Flowers Bal, WR 5 63 Joe Burrow Cin, QB 6 82 Xavier Worthy KC, WR 7 87 Tyjae Spears Ten, RB 8 106 Gus Edwards LAC, RB 9 111 Harrison Butker KC, K 10 130 Tyler Conklin NYJ, TE 11 135 49ers D/ST SF, D/ST 12 154 Darnell Mooney Atl, WR 13 159 Justin Herbert LAC, QB 14
C-
Sick of Sickos TWU NO. Player ROUND 12 Jonathan Taylor Ind, RB 1 13 Kyren Williams LAR, RB 2 36 Josh Allen Buf, QB 3 37 DJ Moore Chi, WR 4 60 George Pickens Pit, WR 5 61 James Conner Ari, RB 6 84 Jake Ferguson Dal, TE 7 85 Ladd McConkey LAC, WR 8 108 Rashid Shaheed NO, WR 9 109 Zack Moss Cin, RB 10 132 Ravens D/ST Bal, D/ST 11 133 Curtis Samuel Buf, WR 12 156 Matt Gay Ind, K 13 157 Deshaun Watson Cle, QB 14
I think this is mostly a pretty okay draft, but nothing in particular stands out. I’m not convince Taylor will be worth a first round pick, he didn’t get any targets and is going to have TDs and carries vulture by Richardson. Kyren is out there returning punts, so I don’t know what to think about that, but it ain’t good. He still seemed to have a strong workload in week 1, but who knows if that will keep up. Conner looked good for now, but he is older with a lot of wear and tear. And Moss looks like a steal in the 10th round. So your RB group looks really good despite some limited upside. Allen is going to be the QB1… again. Moore and Pickens might be okay, but I’m not confident in either and considering your other options, you might have a rough time at WR. I’d be trying to move a RB for a more stable WR option, but not bad. B+
Team HideYaChestnut NO. Player ROUND 3 Breece Hall NYJ, RB 1 22 Davante Adams LV, WR 2 27 James Cook Buf, RB 3 46 Mark Andrews Bal, TE 4 51 Tee Higgins Cin, WR 5 70 Anthony Richardson Ind, QB 6 75 Jaxon Smith-Njigba Sea, WR 7 94 Courtland Sutton Den, WR 8 99 Jaylen Warren Pit, RB 9 118 Mike Williams NYJ, WR 10 123 Cowboys D/ST Dal, D/ST 11 142 Trey Benson Ari, RB 12 147 Ka'imi Fairbairn Hou, K 13 166 Pat Freiermuth Pit, TE 14 The highlights here are clearly Breece and Richardson, both of them have a real chance at finishing number 1 at their position. Cooks looked good and I think Adams will look better moving forward. I’ve never been a big believer in Higgins and he is already injured, at best he is a WR2 when him and Chase are healthy. JSN and Sutton aren’t really much good beyond random flex plays and Warren, Williams, and Freiermuth and just bench fodder. Benson has a shot at being something if Conner goes down, so at least not a wasted bench spot. I don’t think Andrews will be nearly as bad as the first week, but he also won’t be worth at 4th round pick, especially if Likely ends up getting involved. B-
8 Minute Long USA Chant NO. Player ROUND 11 Justin Jefferson Min, WR 1 14 Marvin Harrison Jr. Ari, WR 2 35 Kenneth Walker III Sea, RB 3 38 Jaylen Waddle Mia, WR 4 59 Dalton Kincaid Buf, TE 5 62 David Montgomery Det, RB 6 83 Terry McLaurin Wsh, WR 7 86 Najee Harris Pit, RB 8 107 Brian Thomas Jr. Jax, WR 9 110 Jayden Daniels Wsh, QB 10 131 Blake Corum LAR, RB 11 134 Rico Dowdle Dal, RB 12 155 Younghoe Koo Atl, K 13 158 Eagles D/ST Phi, D/ST 14 Good draft here. Jefferson looks like he might end up being a great value at pick 11. He should see a ton of targets, Darnold looked okay, at least enough to pepper JJ with enough targets to make him a good fantasy option. MHJ on the other hand… It’s like Kyler couldn’t even see him out there. I think Kyler threw like 3 passes further than 10 yards down field and I think Harrison’s average route depth before he made a first move was something like 12.5 yards, putting those things together doesn’t bode well for Harrison. He might be the most overdrafted player this year (not accounting for injuries). I’m not sure why everyone thought a rookie would come in and day 1 be worth an early 2nd round pick, but all the experts said he was gonna be great. He will probably get better, but there will be growing pains like there are for most rookie WRs. Speaking of rookie wideouts, Brian Thomas Jr. actually looked really good and if he keeps developing, he’ll end up a great value. Honestly, your picks 9-12 were all great. Dowdle has a shot at taking over, you dropped Corum, but it was worth seeing what happened in week 1 and you dropped him for a TE with huge upside. Daniels looked like a great fantasy QB. Oh yeah, and Montgomery is just gonna keep scoring touchdowns I guess? A-

The Amazing Corgis NO. Player ROUND 10 Garrett Wilson NYJ, WR 1 15 Jahmyr Gibbs Det, RB 2 34 Stefon Diggs Hou, WR 3 39 Josh Jacobs GB, RB 4 58 Zay Flowers Bal, WR 5 63 Joe Burrow Cin, QB 6 82 Xavier Worthy KC, WR 7 87 Tyjae Spears Ten, RB 8 106 Gus Edwards LAC, RB 9 111 Harrison Butker KC, K 10 130 Tyler Conklin NYJ, TE 11 135 49ers D/ST SF, D/ST 12 154 Darnell Mooney Atl, WR 13 159 Justin Herbert LAC, QB 14
Okay, real grade for Jimothy. Being totally fair and honest. Very solid first 5 rounds. Wilson will have much better weeks, a ton of targets, and if this is the floor, it’ll be a good season. Gibbs is going to keep getting vultured for TDs at the goal line by Montgomery, but he gets so many targets and touches in between the 20s, that he will still be great. I am not sold on Diggs, his average target depth was crazy low and he benefited from TDs. But they will keep trying to find ways to get him the ball because they paid him. I just think he will end up being the 3rd receiving option on a really good offense. Jacobs is going to get a lot more touches in the next few weeks, but a lot fewer scoring opportunities, but he seems like a bell-cow for now. Flowers is a fine pick, a WR3/flex kind of player, so fine in that role, but don’t expect him to every break out as a high end WR. Burrow looks terrible… again. But smart move picking up Mayfield, who looks great… again. Worthy has great upside, but he isn’t going to score two TDs every week, so he needs more opportunities if he is going to be a reliable fantasy option. You basically don’t have a TE though, so that’s troubling. Gus doesn’t look like the guy in LA, but things could always change, same goes for Tyjae, and I would be less surprised to see Tyjae take over the backfield. Mooney is waiver wire fodder. B+
