I am curious about what worships angle is. Delia sucks and there have been chinese whispers about this for years. I don’t like ganging up on people but 1. muchacho sucks 2. The rumors are true 4. Fffffffffgfgggggggggggguuuuuuuccccccckkkkkkk The initial allegations kinda disappeared from twitter but idk how much of it is him being a "legitimate" sex pest and how much is him just being kinda old/creepy and also married (which seems to be a major point but idk if that's really an issue tbh idk how they live their lives). There's a lot to unpack there, especially when put directly against his long time elevation and amplification of different voices in the industry that aren't just more old white dudes. A lot of people trying to figure out how much of his characters reflect him. It's not a good time either way and he's gone internet silent for the first time I think ever. |

whichever way you swing it, dude was using his status to hit up non adults aka minors (read: children under the age of eighteen) on social media, asking to take conversations to text, then trying to coerce them into meeting up irl after his comedy shows. i’m all for due process, but it’s pretty clear at this point that he’d been doing this regularly for awhile now. sliding into a some young looking fangirls direct messages at age thirty something is creepy, but it’s not illegal. disregarding any notion of how old they may be while sending flirty shit is suspect, but doesn’t technically make you a criminal. traveling across state lines to meet up with non adults aka kids at your hotel room alone after your comedy set is the real issue and it doesn’t take a brilliant mind like brendan schaub to extrapolate from his texts that he didn’t just end up in these situations with with underage girls just so he could do field research on his annoying drunk girl impressions

Like, we aren't talking Brian Wood or uhhh idk like real deal criminal status yet. Sometimes these people's worst crimes is just kinda being shitty. Brandon Graham has been popping up on shitty comic guy lists recirculating because of this, but from what I can tell it's because he had a drunk bro convo about banging women and has been accused of fetishizing trans women (which his partners have taken offense to so idk bout that). Fuck chris delia muchacho, hes a rich hollywood kid who grew up privileged and has stayed that way and now uses his fame to bag impressionable young women who are flattered by whatever power he has. But this same lambasting shit happens in virtually EVERY thread, especially all of the viral news ones I totally get this, there’s always a subsect of particularly performative individuals online, and it feels disingenuous. But when you break it down to “grown men abusing their power and being creeps” versus “a group of Twitter users is being extremely vocal”, one of these scans as a much, much bigger problem than the other. One may be more tangible than the other but i wholeheartedly believe that we're deeply abusing the liberties the internet has given us and its affecting the fabric of society and global mental health in incalculable ways |

To start with he's been a giant moron when it comes to COVID. He's basically been overdosing on right wing news and and filtering that out to his audience. E.G., "masks are for pussies," Democrats are just using this to get Trump out of office, only old and sick people should be concerned about it, etc. I don't know if he's owned up to the fact, but I take it a lot of his stance has to do with the fact that he wants to keep doing standup shows. He once strongly insinuated that a majority Black panel on Fox's MMA show was there because of affirmative action. This is despite the fact that all of the people he was referring to were highly qualified to speak on MMA. He also did an incredibly offensive impression of the Asian UFC doctor in his standup special. To be clear, the entire "joke" consisted of just a straight up racist impression. There was no other substance , angle or redeemable quality to it. But yeah, he's also just painfully unfunny and has really bad apinions on just about everything including MMA. I don't think anyone really wants him cancelled for nothing. They just hate him because he sucks and wish he would go away. |
