Edit - It just dawned on me that Evan ran both an actual porn production company and some kind of men empowerment group and could not be bothered to involve JJ. So a few other highlights from this interview-
Glen E Friedman called him out about his right wing bullshit at the Bad Brains mural. He says he wen't off at him about how he's never voted in his life, etc and Glen sent him a written apology.
He didn't move to Florida because it's "Trump Country" and that he moved to a Krishna community to grow his own organic food and live off the grid.
He had a meeting with Vince Gilligan's agent who loved the pilot he wrote and passed it around to producers including Spike Lee, but it was a period piece and that's why it wasn't picked up.
There's an investor in Florida who wants to open a restaurant using all the recipes from his cookbook.

When he talks about his screenwriting it reminds me of the stories about Fred Trump when his senility / dementia really set in and his kids had a room in his house that was an “office” that had a desk and he just sighned blank papers all day believing he was actually still conducting business.

Basically one of the hosts father passed away from Covid so he had no interest in giving JJ a platform. I almost wish they would have had him on so dude could call him on his bullshit, but da cancel culture strikes again! Good summary. Weird situation. They do a hardcore podcast and are caught off guard that jj did jj, so they air it on a different platform that hasnt put out content since jan 2021. Then they seem to have a weird meltdown at the 16 min mark of that vogel pod cuz jj wasnt happy about the situation. |
