Lemmy was one of the realest, baddest motherfuckers out there. I got to tour with @officialmotorhead in the ‘actual real’ Cro-Mags back in the 80’s. Here’s one example. We were a couple of dates into the tour and our guitar player Doug Holland wen't to Motörhead’s dressing room - the door was open and Pete Gill the drummer at the time was in there - now we got to see Motörhead when Filthy was on drums so Doug just told him hey man you’ve been doing a great job - Pete kill grabbed Doug by the throat with some rockstar bullshit and said “You don’t ever come in the headliners dressing room without asking permission next time I’ll rip your throat out.” Doug told me so I walked back over there and at this point Gill closed the door - I slammed it open walked over to him and shoved him into the catering table in their room ready to beat the sh*t out of him and Lemmy walked in. When I told him what happened he got in Gill’s face and said,”The Cro-Mags are fucking family, you ever disrespect them again and you’re gonna be off this fucking tour”. Let’s just say Pete was nice to us for the rest of the tour. Rest in Power Lemmy.
