Can you imagine having to be the proofreader/editor on the first draft of JJ's books? One gigantic run-on sentence to rival Kerouac. I constantly think about this, then think about the stuff i have written and how many times i go over it before i send it to my editor and it makes me mad. I imagine he doesnt check anything and its full of typos that the editor has to decipher too and i hope that he gets paid a lot of money. The fact that he keeps bragging about writing loads of books like he wasnt saved by someone else also makes me mad. And finally, imagine writing a book about your life and thinking that was important to add... |

I just did a little dive because I've been learning firsthand how hard it is to get a book published. First off, his autobiography and the pma one are on amazon and have loudspeaker publishing company listed as the publisher. When you google that name of the publisher, his book is the first result. Scroll down the search results and you see his website where it explicitly states he is an entrepreneur and loudspeaker is HIS OWN publishing company.
This mf is a self-published author who most likely paid out of his own pocket for everything. No literary agent or publishing company would touch that manuscript. I don't see anything about an editor either but he would have had to pay someone thousands of dollars for that too, so I doubt that happened.
Anyone can self-publish anything and these authors are the least respected aside from fan fiction.

But if you read his posts vs his book, he def had someone look at it because, as twocripplesdancing said, it would be just one massive run on sentence. This also explains a couple of things.. he keeps shouting about how he has sold out his books but i guess they are huge runs of them. I also struggled reading his first book. The start is ok then the middle is basically filler then the end gets ok again. |

One of his other titles says it's a "super limited pressing" meaning he is definitely paying a vanity press/print-on-demand service to make the books and he sells them himself. Basically, you will never see anything he's written being sold in a bookstore.
