Am I the only one who doesn’t reckon their music/discog deserves the legacy it gets? I like them, but Alpha Omega is trash and I remember a period like 10 years ago where people were trying to convince themselves otherwise. |

AoQ is a classic and Best Wishes is a guilty pleasure but everything else is obvious trash.
I say this as a NYer - most of these old NY hardcore musicians have such a delusion of self importance and a holier than thou attitude. And it happened because of the hero worship that started 10-15 years ago which thankfully a lot of people have grown out of. Now if you’re not a fucking idiot, you realize that most of these dudes disappeared because they were damaged and toxic people.
TLDR, be more like Walter and less like JJ.

Actually you know what I’ll take the bait.
You have one guy who has been severely influential and successful with just about every band/project he’s been involved in and continuously gives back to the younger generation and goes above and beyond to help them out.
Then there’s JJ who’s still riding the wave of one good record and just shits all over younger fans and bands.
