All the boys showing up to playclothes day in white wifebeaters and Bizkit tshirts, offending the nuns.

Youβd think some entrepreneur would license Grind or Kikwear brands and re-launch it to take advantage. Those were the βcoolβ big pants sold at skate shops and 90s street wear shops, Jncos just somehow became ubiquitous and available at every mall. Granted I had Jncos (black with a big J on the back pocket were the best).

I was 10-11 during the jnco craze so I had to wear the kids sized jncos then eventually I got a men's sized pair and hemmed like a foot off of them so the bottom of the huge back pocket touched the ground. it's really embarrassing how obsessed I was with owning/wearing those stupid pants and how bummed I would get anytime my mom asked me to wear normal pants to family stuff.

I remember owning multiple pairs of giant shorts Iβd pair with a white wife beater, wallet chain, metal ball necklace, long ass white socks and giant skate shoes. Woof.

I remember having debates with my parents about the hem width of my pants. They kept pressing 18", but there was no way in hell I was going under 20". 23" was ideal if I remember correctly.
Also, chain wallet was a must.
And I'm sad that I no longer have my old ball chain necklace.

No they werenβt big in popularity but they were the more street level big pants that were advertised in electronic music, and skate mags. I perceived them to be what real raver kids were wearing. I was 13, it was 95. My pops said no way was he paying $70 for Grind pants. I wanted the brown denim ones so bad I could taste it.

annnnd just today I saw a crew wearing jncos and 90s icp shirts. Not legitimate juggalos but hipsters. I remember jncos being $120-150 20+ years ago? Crazy to think about it now.

I mean... they look like anal beads, but were rarely if ever worn by people who had any fetish gear on. And would, of course, call people g@y or f@gs.

In 1998, I found a green pager with a Rasta/w.eed leaf flag on it, in the bathroom of a Dairy Queen on South St. in Philly. It was p cool.

(i'm in la so everywhere else will see it soon i'm sure) Yeah, I've seen that here in Cincy. Probably from local art students who come back from internships on the west coast. We have two nationally-renowned art schools here, so things like "hipster fashion" hit here before a lot of other places. The amount of people doing it were pretty limited, though. Anyhow, it looks weird to me, but the people doing it are adults who I could have fathered as an adult, so I'm not losing any sleep over it. But it's reeeeeeeally fucking weird and awkward when they hit on me at a bar or show due to the fact that I look like I'm twen'ty-five or something.

Thereβs a vintage clothing store near work and the kids that are always going in there look straight out of the 90βs to early 2000βs. they love that shit.
