People shat on Have Heart too. Their reunion show at S&F was probably packed with people who talked mad shit on them in their heyday. |

Love the album but hate: humanoid / shake it up. That song just doesn't jive for me. Cool they have light speed champion on the album.

Always been a bit whatever about Turnstile. Some songs are sweet but otherwise nothing thats really grabbed me. But stoked to see them getting so much attention now and maybe pulling in a new gen of kids into hardcore. Middle aged gatekeepers complaining about current underground music and then wondering why no one comes out to their shows apart from the same old drunk losers are the worst.
Kids don't just appear at shows in an Anti Cimex shirt straight away, you need bands like Turnstile to keep that cycle going.

I just skipped around a few State Champs tracks on Spotify (because Iβm open to being wrong) and Iβm not sure you actually listened to this record Dude also compared them to fucking machine gun kellys pop punk shit. Holiday makes me want to do a full aerobics step class routine to it.
Itβs one of those things where even if you donβt like it, I donβt see how you can really hate on what theyβre doing without coming off as just an old jaded hater. They do huge benefits for good causes, promote artists of all kinds, pull in a young DIVERSE crowd which hardcore and punk desperately need, callback to great influences, and keep playing legit hardcore shows with non-stop dives and moshing despite being at a level where they can easily be beyond that entirely. And the vibe is always just fun and energy at any of their shows. I was iffy on them but seeing em a few times won me over. Only occasionally listen but anytime I do it just makes me wish I was seeing them live. Album rocks.

I βget itβ Last time I was at the observatory my band was in the small room and they played the big room. One note and 1000 kids wen't off, million stage dives, it looked fun. I get how they crossover and good for them, seem to be blowing up, I just canβt get into it listening to the records, I think it blows but clearly everyone else doesnβt
