3) Similar to the above, right when a curry is basically done and ready to serve, sometimes I will heat up some oil and quickly fry some spices in it (chili, cumin, cardamom etc) and when the spices are very fragrant I'll just dump the flavoured oil right on top of the curry. Adds a ton of extra flavour (even if you've bloomed spices during the initial cooking) and some extra fat if you've got a real lean curry there. Also can be a good way to separate spicy/mild if someone doesn't like heat. you're saying this like you just do it on a whim but this is called tadka and if you didn't already know that, you are a fucking genius

Recently discovered this recipe and it's my current favorite weekend breakfast: www.instagram.com/reel/C4jJwxuK9xJI normally eat overnight oats for breakfast every day and this feels special enough to be a weekend treat but the macros are still okay. I used vegan skyr mixed with protein powder as a "base", doubled the amount of oats in the recipe and drizzled some peanut butter on top. Love it.

just got some vegan spam-like meat and it's fucking good. its a slab that you gotta slice, no biggie. fried em and put halves into these little dinner rolls fresh out of the oven with some veganaise and mustard and honestly... i could eat like 10 of those bitches. good stuff. this stuff is so gross and off-putting but unfortunately pretty good

I dig this adobo recipe too sweetsimplevegan.com/filipino-chicken-adobo/I've tried it with soy curls and tofu. I looove tofu but and the soy curls are better for this to soak up the sauce. Don't skimp on the pepper corns or bay leaf

The halal shop by my work has a falafel wrap for $5 on Wednesdays. Itโs so good and thereโs enough for 2 meals, so Iโve been going there the last few weeks

Shrooms are truly the best mock meat. Iโve had fried โchickenโ tacos made from oyster mushrooms that were so close to the real thing I almost sent them back (luckily saw the stems before I made a fool of myself).

Finally tried this pickle-brined tofu recipe recently and it makes for a fucking GOOD sandwich! Pre sliced the tofu before freezing it so I just take out a slab or two as needed. Edited for photos I forgot I took:
