Death Of Stalin would definitely be on my list, but it’s technically a 2017 fliqq, right? I believe it came out in the UK in 2017, but 2018 in the US. So it counts.

What are some must see foreign films? Any websites that have great lists of movies that arent well known or criterion or just great lists?

I've been waiting a while to see First Reformed. I'm a huge Ethan Hawke fan and it looks really heavy.

wen't and saw the new Sicario a few nights back. Aside from some obvious studio/director interference fuckery in the third act and Villineuve's/Deakins' absence, I'm not sure why this is getting such mixed reviews.
Fairly solid, if a step down from the first.

About to watch Gotti, cause it leaked and should be a good laugh. Travolta has been in seven movies with an under 10% rating on rotten tomatoes, and five over 90%, what a career.

My knowledge of foreign films is veeeeeeeery light but I've enjoyed:
- Cemetery of Splendor - Delicatessen - In Order of Disappearance - I Saw the Devil
Unrelated: Way late on this but watched Election today. Funny as fuck.

The first half is absurdly bad that it's hilarious, but it does become a chore after awhile. It felt like I watched a bad parody of gangster movies. The use of "Walk Like an Egyptian" was so funny along with other music choices.

I don’t think I could make a top 10 that I’d really be happy with, even top 5 is iffy:
Hereditary Annihilation You Were Never Really Here Black Panther Blockers
I’ve seen over 20 2018 movies in theaters and this is the best I could come up with.

gonna see Sicario 2 tomorrow then I'm gonna try and catch First Reformed later this week at one of the few theaters still playing it. Need to see Unsane in theater too even though I was very wary when I saw the trailer months back.
Annihilation is up on Prime so I need to watch that this weekend.
Ryan, what'd you think of Blow Out? Top 3 DePalma for me.

Annihilation is aesthetically very pleasing and surreal, if you like sci fi you probably fuck with it. Wasn't a flawless movie but definitely recommend watching.

Watching La La Land for the first time. Can't believe I've never seen it before. For someone in the industry, it really resonates. Beautiful picture.
